I wouldn't replace him with any of our midfield. Slow, 1 good pass all game. A many mis placed passes.

I think the game passed him by. If we hadn't have been as naff as we were up top, this would have been a non thread

chuffed young Smithy had made the cut, however it was the correct call we parted ways

It was a great night for Alistair even though he did not do a great deal. Not many young players are released by a club into non-league and then come back up into the EFL and beat their old club. Well done to him. I still think he will end up playing as a centre half or in a back three.

With so many young players failing to make the grade, its nice to see them make a career in the game good luck to the lad.
Bet he was chuffed getting one over on us

He looked no different to when he was with us in a football sense...anonymous on the pitch, few good passes that’s about it. Physically he looks bigger but didn’t seem any more mobile, always thought for a big youth seemed very weak
Far better players out there IMO and as folk have said, releasing was the right decision
