I think at his age it’s promising that he’s getting into these sort of positions. He’s making great runs and getting a lot of chances but is wasteful like most players his age.

Sinclair is woeful , ive not seen him have a good game yet ... hence his bench position .

Do you mean this season or do you include his games last season?
I agree about this year, he has taken a step backwards because he is trying to do too much.
I thought he was a real addition to the first team last season.

He made a positive contribution coming on at Stevenage and Sutton. He is trying too hard to score at the mo, a bit like Oates was at the start of the season. He will come good, hence why Clough keeps picking him.

Brilliant win yesterday, good to get over the Sutton game quickly!

Just read that Hawkins is suspended now? Does that mean he’ll miss the Doncaster game or the next league game? Hawkins and Oates has the makings of a great partnership so it’s a bit frustrating that he’s going to miss one now but at least it’s only one!

I think it’s a good sign that he keeps getting in great positions. Just needs that composure now, which I think will come.

Agree 100%, he is not playing like he did last year. Just needs to calm down and go back to basics. His reaction to hitting the post was worrying as you could see his, confidence is low. He will come good.

He could do with a reserve game where he could get on the scoresheet and build some confidence.

He had plenty of good chances for the under-23s against Leeds, unfortunately none of which he took.

As soon as the first tap-in or goal off his backside comes, I think the confidence will come back.

Tyrese has been disappointing recently but I'm encouraged.

He's not shying away from the chances, and above all he's getting closer game by game. He hit the woodwork today whereas 2 games ago he put a free kick into the lop corner of the tunnel.

He keeps getting game time and learning. I dread to think of the furore on here if he was sent out on loan and started baggin / assisting for fun at somewhere like Clownty.

I was totally devastated when they equalized so early in the second half, we needed to hold onto our lead their i was with a sinking feeling.
4 major changes and we took the game to them first half, i never realized the wind had increased until Martins report today.
It made the win more special, It was good use of the squad Forrester made his full debut and Sinclair was a threat they had to deal with goals will come.
O"Toole showed composure, and Nartey will have a role to play,
Clough at the moment has choices long may it continue, i now have a week to enjoy this win

It was the best away defensive performance of the season on Saturday. We limited Crawley to an xG of 0.5 and it was around 0.2 until Francomb's near post shot and Appiah hitting the bar at the end.

Bristol Rovers (Home) 0.2
Crawley Town (Away) 0.5
Port Vale (Home) 0.5
Colchester United (Away) 1.5 (0.8 before penalty)
Oldham Athletic (Home) 0.9
Tranmere Rovers (Home) 0.9
Stevenage (Away) 1.0
Newport County (Home) 1.0

The problem being with sinclair and bowery is that though they always try hard which they should be commended for, currently neither are good enough.

Both are likeable and though putting in your 100% effort should be minimum it still allows me to give players benefit of the doubt if they do the basics well.

It’s time one or both of them (in fairness bowery is best left wing) to step up and contribute, it’ll be the difference between mid table and going for the playoffs potentially (though of course there are many other factors in play)

Bowser is just not a goal scorer & to play him to score goals if that’s what you want from a forward of his ability will always disappoint

A report on a national newspaper’s website this morning carries the above two photographs of the players before their night out at the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland attraction. The very same venue that some Barbarians rugby players had attended at the end of last week. Many of them tested positive for Covid and the game at Twickenham on Saturday was cancelled 90 minutes before kick off.

Fingers crossed that our partying players return from London with a clean bill of health.

The rugby players would have been there much earlier in the week.
