Hewitt at full back i have no problem with that, Gordon, Clarke, this is first team football and mistakes can be costly,
a game of opinions,, Hewitt, Clarke, Gordon in that order for me.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I still ‘prefer’ Gordon over Clarke at right back. Clarke barely ventures past the half way line and he’s got no confidence in doing so when he does and and he’s a bit on the slow side, gets simply beaten for pace a bit too often.

Was often near the half way line at Exeter but stayed there, Rawson was basically playing Right back.

I'd say they're about equal, Clarke just shading it, but only just.

As for Hewitt. Ipswich paid a fee for him and apparently played him right wing and he did OK. There's another option

Nartey 2-3 weeks away from being fit. Cooper hopefully will play in the U23 cup games at Wigan on Thursday.

Who were the players who joined us years ago. Got fit. Then buggered off?

Wanna say Matty Blair and Liam Hearn but could be wrong?

NC: “[Elliott] Hewitt has had a good rest over the weekend and we hope he will be fit [for Saturday’s match at home to Tranmere]. [Stephen] McLaughlin trained on Friday but we didn’t want to risk him getting injured further against Exeter.”

fgs what would they be like if they had to actually had to go to work before they played...there is so much bull raspberry about players needing rests and not being risked...are we breeding a generation of wimps?
How would they have coped playing against players wearing steel tipped boots. Tell some of these so called professionals to man up it really is getting pathetic..touch a player and he dives rolling over as if he has been shot..a minute later he's up and running and unhurt..getting really fed up of it...Referees not adhering to the laws ,linesmen ignoring throw in line encroachment, players trying to get opponents booked, continually moaning at the ref..kicking a ball into touch then appealing for the throw in...what the hell is happening to the game?
