Robbie Stockdale post match interview. Is our pitch narrow?

Is it just a coincidence that the 2 new lads are injured for upto 8 weeks at the same time news comes of Perch being out for the season. I’m sure being able to play at the side of him was a factor in wanting to come here.
Got faith in Rawson stepping up and hopefully Hewitt improving each game.

I thought Nartey was clear that Clough was the big pull.

Also Forrester probably didn't have many options with him being already injured. He would have heard about perch being injured and our defensive woes so probably thought if he was available as soon as possible then he could cement a place. He pushed himself too hard and tweaked it again.

Injury setbacks happen all the time. So does a player getting injured.

Chip, that reads like you're saying they are lying about injuries to avoid not playing next to Perch. Could be Sunday morning after a couple of drinks and terrible nights sleep and I'm just not readining it right. That's also a possibility

I was implying that, surely we can't have that much bad luck in less than a month.
3 centre halves injured, 1 playing in wrong position and 1 having probably his worst run of form in his career.
It reminds me of the Maynard injury around Xmas.

It is "one of those things"

After hearing post match that Nartey has had a knock for 2 games, why he's been unreliable. Same with Hewitt, he's basically been trying to cover Nartey and it's just not working. Unsurprising that we saw a better performance from Hewitt with a fit defensive partner.

I'm more surprised that we knew Nartey took a knock in the Harrogate game, why wasn't Faz played against Walsall?

So what’s up with Nartey? I missed that.

He's phoned in sick, his mum says he won't be fit for 6-8 weeks.
He fell over in the playground and grazed his knee at Harrogate.

It’s time Clough manned up and stopped blaming the recent results on
Injuries
Lack of signings
Individual mistakes
Bad referees
Regardless of the situation it’s his job to get the best results from the squad at his disposal
So stop slagging your players off in public and get them playing as a team with confidence, grit your teeth and do what you are payed to do
Mr Clough you are one of the best managers this club has ever had so now start proving it and stop picking your favourite players when they are not performing and stop putting round pegs in square holes and we might just be able to overcone this disruption and start winning again

We've got plenty of square holes but haven't even got round pegs to put in, luckily it's not round holes and square pegs because that's harder.
Let's have faith in Hewitt and Rawson stepping up and forming a decent partnership to tie us through.

Farrend Rawson should have played against Harrogate and Walsall. It was a mistake by Nigel Clough to drop him after the Swindon game. Rawson and Hewitt generally played well in that game although Rawson was partly at fault for the goal. He should have cleaned out Jonny Williams on the halfway line.

Just the one leg? I'll take that as a positive.

Always makes me smile when people have a go at a manager for playing "his facourites"

Every single manager up and down the country have their favourites.

It's called their preferred starting eleven.

You'll see every semi successful side has a key group of 7 or 8 who play the majority of the games.

There’s a difference between playing your favourites and basically sending a player to Coventry.

Clough did say from day one he was not a miracle worker
We can’t expect a Burton to be done immediately
We are building for the future and no doubt promotion was very much in all minds this season
2 wins would change the table dramatically but like all long suffering Stags fans we need a glimmer of hope that we will see League 1 at least on our lifetime
Don’t blame Sharpe ori Clough it’s just bad luck
Imagine when our luck changes what we might achieve

Some of it is bad luck, some of it is poor recruitment.
