I didn’t think he was a bad player, just never apart of Cloughs plan.

Hopefully this means that Clough has a new and improved replacement lined up.

Oh dear i had hoped he would come good, this makes things interesting, surly Cooper is to young and we are short of central defenders, Keogh and Brayford spring to mind,
both would make our defence old and a yrd slower than in their prime. Clough has moved Menayese on and he cannot play against us, good luck to the lad .
i feel we wont miss him it seems we never had him, come on sedgewick who is the final piece

How can he be surplus yet we signed Hewitt. They played together last season in a side that got relegated.

Still find the Hewitt signing and this a bit strange.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

As much as I hold my nose at Jake Buxton, he was in the side that went down. Turned out to have a decent career. So did Bappa.

You know they don't just go off "He played in a relegated side" must be raspberry

Theres much more to the game than that, Hewitt got rave reviews from fans in our division for his performances playing at the back. Trust those who have been out actively watching them

Did Mayonaise come through the youth team ranks at Brovers?
If so Daz'll know him from his time there.

Rollin Menayese played 61 minutes in a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace before being replaced by Manny Monthe.

Paul Anderson is on trial at Walsall. He came on at half time.

Zaha scored the goal.

This interview with Walsall's Conor Wilkinson in the FLP may explain Nigel Clough's issues with Rollin Menayese

Who is always late for training?

"This is an easy one. - Rollin Menayese. I have never seen so much money go into a fine kitty from one player before! He must spend a ridiculous amount a week on fines! The other day he was late. I think it was the second day in a row, and the gaffer said just fine him whatever you want. He just doesn't seem that bothered."

There was apparently an issue where Menayese didn't turn up to training because he had his driving test, but had apparently not let anyone know. This was when Cooper was in temp charge so perhaps he had told GC but it had not been passed on.

I cannot see Nigel Clough putting up with persistent lateness from any player. He probably runs a tight ship.

From listening to the Stephen Davies Undr the Cosh podcasts, it seems that Nigel Clough is fine with players missing training with various issues as long as they tell him about it and keep him informed.

Speaking of Undr the Cosh, David Wheater is on this week and without a club....

He wasn’t released due to his playing ability if you look into matters further.

I’m not saying he’s a world beater but he can’t be any worse, and I know he can head a ball so that puts him above Hewitt in the pecking order straight away.
