I think the Stech wife comment was not to be taken literally

I don't think this follows at all. Indeed after one game, Nigel Clough said to me privately which I did not report at the time for obvious reasons, that we need two new goalkeepers (he meant Stone and Stech).

I am still baffled as to why Stech was signed. He was more or less ever present during Luton’s promotion season and then didn’t play for them the season after.

Ignore that post, just fact checked it and I got most of it wrong.

Not the first keeper we’ve had who played for United.

Not with that type of chirpy smile ,he sounded like a young man who appreciates the fact that he is earning a good living in a game he clearly loves ,you can see he has had some training in how to be interviewed and how to conduct himself ,very impressed

in the absence of any media outlet writing the interview up, I've transcribed some of it for the Stagsnet news archive

Nathan Bishop told iFollow Stags

"I'm delighted, I'm really excited for what the season has to come, and it was a move I couldn't wait for."
"I'm a young keeper. I need the games to develop my career."
(On his qualities as a keeper) "I'm loud, crosses, being a character, and keeping the ball out of the net however it's done!"
(On coming in as the no.1 keeper) "Yes, I'd like to hope so, just get games in and really be passionate for the club and give everything I've got."
(On what he needs to develop) "Learning to hold on to wins, clean sheets, and things like that, and help the team."
"I know Macca (Stephen McLaughlin) from Southend and he was telling me it's a top club and a top place to be."
"I was 5th or 4th choice at Man Utd and on the odd occasion I was lucky to be 3rd and I made it onto the bench in the Premier League and Europa league which was a great experience."
(On the plan building up to pre-season) "The plan is keep working hard and get ready to run!"

Asked Eric Steele if he knew much about this lad, given he recommended united sign Degea and worked at united for years.... Took a while for a response but says Bishop is highly rated and they think he will be number 1 one day, not far behind Henderson in terms of skill just needs much more experience.
