When Shelvey pulled off the marvellous double save yesterday even the Hull keeper applauded him, public displays of professional respect speaks volumes. Shelvey is a very confident, capable young keeper with great distribution and does without the need to scream at his back line.
I for one, if he keeps performing as he is, would be happy for him to be in goal for the opening fixture against Bristol Rovers.
Totally agree with that Sparky. The man had a terrific game and inspired confidence in the defence. I certainly wouldn’t drop him and would expect Bishop to earn the jumper instead of just being handed it.
I can’t remember the last time I saw a better display from a stags keeper. I wouldn’t expect him to keep that up but he has set his own standard and I’m really pleased he’s here.
