Has also played a lot of football as a centre half. Surprised we have managed to persuade him this far North. An excellent alternative option to our attack.

That's a lot of striker. Hope he's more mobile than Cook

Looks a poacher as well as a target man.

Good to have a target man option. We had no plan B after Cooke left.

Interesting option. Expected us to go for a striker with pace but we’ve gone down another route.

Looks a useful lad and definitely offers us something that we don’t have. You must be doing something right to play that many games for Portsmouth in the past couple of years.

Still think we could do with a bit of raw pace as an option in forward areas, but i think in Reid would probably have to make way to accommodate that and I don’t expect that to happen.

He doesn't look like a plan B. He looks like a focal point for our attack. That clip looks good, aggressive and get on the end of crosses. Clearly he brings the best out of those around him.

Good addition.

You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Very pleased with the calibre of this signing, he is a proper target man,

As mentioned I am surprised that he has gone for a target man, I assume he would go for pace but there is still time :)

Oli Hawkins was a really good striker for the Daggers in League 2. 19 goals in 43(20) league appearances. He scored his first goal for them against the Stags in Feb 2016. It was a tap in  He was then signed by Portsmouth for a transfer fee. The Salary Guess website has him down for £1,800 per week at Ipswich so well within our price range.

He scored 14 goals for Portsmouth in 57(20) league apps and 1 goal for Ipswich in 8(12) league apps.

Matty Blair had a great game.

Will be so important for us to get real quality crosses in to the box next season. The success of Johnson and Hawkins will depend on it as neither are really the type to beat a couple of men and do it themselves.

Offload Reid! Then we could possibly bring in another?

He only scored one EFL goal for The Daggers Darren. The rest were in the National League.
