The tallest centre forward to permanently sign for the Stags since Mark Sale (6 foot 5) in 1995?

Emmanuel Dieseruvwe is also 6 foot 5 but he was on loan.

Are there any others?

Good acquisition - could a long-throw specialist be next?

I asked Nigel Clough about signing a long throw specialist at the end of last season. He said he would not sign someone because of that, but if they were, that would be very useful.

Looks like a big Crouch style target man.

Brilliant signing in my opinion...
Very surprised at what seems an underwhelming response to it so far on here....

Hes a massive threat to any cross into the box which I'm sure Kellan and Macca will provide plenty of...

I'm sure DJ is delighted aswell to get on all the flick ons Oli will win in the air..

Cracking signing.
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

an extraordinary proportion of goals from inside the six-yard box. A poacher, as you say.

Will be so important for us to get real quality crosses in to the box next season. The success of Johnson and Hawkins will depend on it as neither are really the type to beat a couple of men and do it themselves.

I can see Tyrese having a good season and providing some good service.

I have seen oli play and he puts himself about and a Clough type centre forward, only taller, he will add height to our attack, and height to combat the long throw specialist.
With him and Bowery giving us height at both ends, we all know Clough likes goals from everywhere so playing for the team will be his remit.
This is a brilliant signing, Johnson and the midfielders will love him

Interesting that if we continue with the 442 diamond it obviously only leaves 2 strikers, on paper you would assume Bowery would be dropped

just had a quick look on the Ipswich forum, let’s just say i don’t think they are to devastated he’s gone!, for me this is just the type of Cloughie signing that the Burton lot banged on about, under the radar & the Gaffa sees in him something others don’t !

Have no fear if he doesn’t score five in pre season i’ll be on him
welcome to the Mill Ollie lad, let’s see what ya got !!!

Could be a bit like the Rhead - Green partnership.

Can't see us signing Adkins now. Nevertheless I'm happy with this signing. Welcome Oli.
