Thank you for sharing this interview, it must have been hard for Stone to talk about not having a new contract, and having to move on.
It shows the highs and lows of professional football, to be called up to being No1 and then having to leave the club.
But he leaves with all our best wishes, and i hope having learned a lot while here to take forward in his footballing career.
Good luck for the future.

Good interview. He came across really well. I am pleased that he has a couple of offers and wish him all the best for the future.

Good luck to him, personally I'd have kept him as no 2.

I think if Marek Stech had been out of contract then NC would have kept him on. He did enough in his breakthrough season to be given more time.

I agree. He did make errors but as he says he’s 21 and it was his first season.
It wouldn’t surprise me if he goes on the have a career at a higher level than league 2
Good luck to him

Thanks for the feedback guys, was great to sit and chat with him about his time, as well as his thoughts on things at the club.
Shame he has been let go, as still only 21, but it clear Clough has other options in mind. Wish him well for the future, as he got great potential.

I hope the lad gets a deal somewhere, a decent keeper on his day, was harsh to release him I reckon, prob because of Stech having the extra year I imagine.

We get your tumescence for Stech. Just could you lay off it a bit. It’s dull.

No, the board is for all to say what you want. Here's an idea sunshine, block me if you find what I post is dull.
As if I'm bothered about you finding it dull.

well done on the interview Mark
I feel bad about not making a video clip of his save at Exeter now.

Good interview and seems a genuine guy but doesn't alter my opinion he wasn't good enough . He may be young but it's not for us to wallow another 5 years bottom half of league 2 whilst we wait for improvement. I think Nigel has done the right thing . The last keeper we had who was consistently at the level required was Marriott and that's a while ago now .

I think we need a goalie who is good enough right now, like you say not waiting years and years for them to potentially improve.

Perhaps the right place wrong time, with Stech being so poor, he was over exposed to early, and with Stech having a long contract Nigel could .
not afford to keep both of them, Stech would be in is rights to sit this year out.

I think Nigel has done the right thing in releasing both keepers. Hopefully Stech can also find a new club quickly.
