Tbh the passing it along the back all the time is the most annoying thing about watching england play like sandy says they dont play to their strengths its so pedestrian ,im not criticising for the sake of it but its boring ,ill get my tin hat ;)

One thing this tournament has highlighted is Sky clearly have the best commentators by a mile. Some of the commentary has been dreadful and how dull is Hartson, nearly as bad as Keown!

I don’t care what channel Clinton Morrison is on, the channel gets changed. His accent does my nut almost as much as that Dominos’s yodelling

Oh and one more thing. That Peter Walton is a crashing bore isn’t he ? He sounds like a policeman giving evidence.

Not only is he a crashing bore, but is more often than not wrong.

That was never a red card for Ampadu, it was a clear yellow and VAR should have overturned it.

Correct we are lightweight up top Kane /Sterling /Mount /Foden over rated and bigged up by the press . Non of them would get in the France Squad

Would they get in the France squad now?

No.

Because they’re not French. :D

Tyldesley and McCoist easily the best, and not even ITV first choice. ITV missed a trick by not putting Neville on comms rather than in the studio.

The Sky EFL commentators, Gary Weaver and Daniel Mann, along with brilliant co-commentators Don Goodman and Andy Hinchcliffe are better than anything the BBC or ITV have, that's before we even mention Martin Tyler. Clive Tyldesley is the best of the terrestrial, BBC commentary has been truly abysmal.

Quite incredible how Sam Matterface is the lead commentator for ITV and England qualifiers moving forward. For me he’s bottom of the pile, everything is scripted with him to the point where he knows his line for when a team scored before they’ve even scored it. Some people and clearly ITV bosses must think it’s great preparation but personally I think commentary is a lot better when they are off the cuff in those big moments.

Looking at all these comments on this thread it appears Martin and Dean are the bees knees.

I see Billy Gilmour has tested positive for Covid and is out for 10 days. That won’t help the Scots even if it doesn’t spread throughout the squad.

I just hope he hasn’t passed it on to any England players.

They’ve all returned negative tests since the game.

Would you test positive straight away? It’s only three days ago and I thought the incubation period was up to 5 days but maybe not.

Because they both hugged Gilmour after the game.

Scottish players and their manager also hugged him, they should all isolate too.
