Wrexham fans seem to think they have a chance of Nigel Clough becoming their new manager. Their new CEO previously worked at Burton Albion.

now if Forest came knocking it might be different ... but Wrexham ... absolutely no chance.

Nigel Clough strikes me as a loyal bloke who will be happy to stay at the Stags as long as he is allowed to do things his own way.
I don't think we will be signing any players unless Nigel wants them even if they are recommended by John Terry or any other of JR's Portugal footy mates.

The only reason would be the wealth of the new owners.

He’s obviously well settled in the area he lives as he’s always managed local to where he is. Don’t see any chance of him upping sticks to go to the league below. He’ll be very well paid here, perfect location, good project, good budget.

My favourite quote from the Wrexham forum...
"Remember it's not just a manager of a non-league club we are offering it's exposure with the documentary too which will be a unique attraction no other club can really offer."I'm sure Thomas Tuchel, Pep Guardiola etc will be queuing up to apply for this job

Some Wrexham fans also think they’re going to get Eddie Howe
Disaster waiting to happen that club with those 2 now in charge

Fluer Robinson will have a lot of respect for Nigel Clough but i see her moving to Wrexham as a indication of her father retiring and selling up, and she is moving on in her career.
There is a lot of work to do at Mansfield and clough will be pleased with the structure he has got, i would e.s.t. the budget here would be bigger than he had at Burton.
To get Mansfield into the Championship with a New stand and Hotel what challenge could be greater than that.
Nigel just tends to the job in hand, like his mum with no fuss, leaving others to grab the headlines. lets be honest he likes to be under the radar

I think a documentary would make Nigel run a mile. He strikes me as a very private person. I don't think he would want to be in any of JR and Carolyn's videos either. He likes to keep his cards close to his chest.

3/1 favourite is probably a few Wrexham fans having guesses, if it goes odds on I'd be concerned.

John Coleman isn’t far behind!
Why would Clough leave a club with our potential, quality owners, quality CEO, a squad he knows and it’s only 30 minutes drive to work everyday?
Not unless he’s been offered a dream job in China?

Wrexham should give Ian Holloway the job. That would make a great documentary.
Other good candidates would be Steve Evans, Phil Brown, Keith Hill, John Sheridan, John Yems, Joey Barton, John Coleman, Derek Adams, etc

Nah no chance... can't see him wanting to work with two Hollywood lads over JR.
He's got it pretty sweet here, you could say everything he wants.. Healthy budget, good squad to work with, Class training ground, right next to his home....
Cant see him going anywhere other than Forest one day.
