I really like Ellison. A proper character and quality player at our level.

Hop Morecambe win the final though

Ellison is the oldest player and goal scorer in the playoffs, I can't see that ever being beaten, apart from him in the final.
Not sure if he would be the oldest scorer at Wembley.

Newport deserved to go through I thought, FGR’s third should have been disallowed.

Hope Morecambe win in the final, but may be strange as Derek Adams strongly linked with the Bradford job even if a Morecambe go up.

I agree with that, over the two legs.

I'd rather Newport go up. I think they are more likely to do well in league two next season than Morecambe.

It was strange that FGR finished lower in the table than Newport but played the second leg at home.

I wondered that. Why did they do that?

Newport's request I think - something to do with sorting out their pitch.

The ground is owned by the rugby club and they were digging the pitch up last Wednesday. So Newport gave up the right to play away in the first leg and also that's why the game was brought forward to Tuesday

HT Morecambe 0-0 Newport

Enjoyable first half. Pretty tight but Newport should have had a penalty and had a shot deflected just wide.

The first half hour was excellent as noted by the commentators. The last 15 minutes of the first half and first 15 of the second half has been quiet.

Poor advert for league two from what I’ve seen. Whoever goes up will come straight back on this showing.

Lets be honest ,if morecambe win via a deflected goal kick or throw in ,most on here would be happy with the results of the 3 finals
