A great shithouse performance from Derek Adams' Morecambe who to be fair have been the better team in most games when I have watched them. However Newport were robbed today. It was a stonewall penalty in the first half when Kyle Letheren knocked out Scott Bennett and Morecambe's penalty was a free kick as the first contact was outside the area. Carlos Mendes-Gomes did not have a good game until scoring the penalty. I thought he would miss. Pleased for John O'Sullivan who came on as a sub and helped create the goal. He's been a big player for Morecambe this season.

What are the odds on Cambridge, Cheltenham and Morecambe all being relegated next season? Cheltenham may have the best chance of staying up due to Ben Tozer and Will Boyle.

Wasn’t a pen which made it all the more funny. Two welsh teams beaten in the playoffs

Just watched You Tube - the yellow card for the foul on Tyler Walker and the penalty, both in the play-offs. And just watched the penalty they got earlier in the season to win 2-1. Without those two extra points, they wouldn't have been in the play-offs anyway as Salford had a better goal difference. What goes around.........

Poor Newport, who get a lot of dodgy late penalties themselves and had two bad decisions go their way against us 2 years ago, very pleased for Morecambe

agreed

For the penalty, the first contact was outside the area, but more importantly the last contact was outside the area.

Derek Adams worked a miracle there.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Now let’s see if he’s the ultimate shithouse and joins Bradford.

Derek Adams can name his price now with two League 2 promotions including achieving promotion with Morecambe with the lowest playing budget in League 2. He has 4 promotions on his CV now. 3 year contract. £200,000-£250,000 per year plus £100,000 promotion bonus.

I wonder if Ellison had the kahunas to congratulate Derek Adams who was ultimately proved right to sack him off……

Morecambe secured me a play-off treble which will go along way towards next years season ticket.

Well done to the Shrimps.

Prime example of what can be done on limited resources and with stable management. Just three permament managers in their entire EFL history speak volumes. They earned it although the winning penalty should never be described as a stonewaller in a million years

Excellent. He’s just gone and stuck his face squarely in the mug of Ellison. Love that. No messing about.
