2-0 Newport. Good ball through but a bit of a lucky finish. Collins tried to slide it past the keeper but he's hit it straight into the ground and bounced over the keeper!

Newport good value for their 2 nil lead.

Still not impressed with either side. Not seen more than 3 consecutive passes yet. So many intercepted passes and launched balls forward.

Really lacking quality but the weather has looked horrendous.

Newport fans have got to be the most annoying in the land.

They want a red card everytime a FGR player touches the ball

It's the same everytime we play them away, they're near on beheading the ref if a decision doesn't go their way.

Suicidal defending by FGR at times.

FT Newport 2-0 Forest Green. Newport with a deserved win in the first leg, and it could have been a bigger margin of victory. Forest Green with a huge task to turn that around in the second leg

It looks like Forest Green have bottled it again. They are worse than the Stags!

If they lose this year, how many times have FGR failed in the play offs?

My hopes were on FGR going up as it's the worst away day of the four. Not the food (take your own pork pies) but that "covered" standing we payed an extra quid for and got soaked. Why did they move the away fans out of a decent covered stand and out into the open? Next season make them stand by the scoreboard on the Bishop St stand & give them vegan food & drink.

I agree it's not the best away ground to go to, but it's relatively local for me so quite like the short drive down the M5.

Our midfield is genuinely miles better than what Newport and Forest Green had on offer last night.

Is that who reffed us in our play off game? Bloke should have never been allowed to ref after that

Yes. An absolut stinker who is one reason why we are where we are now. Watched that game on telly. One of the worst ref performances I've ever seen anywhere. Should have been demoted to Conf South at highest instead of being appointed to games in League One left right and centre last season. Speaks volumes. Thankfully we haven't had Breakspear since that game at Newport. Another one we haven't had since 2018-19 is - Darren Drysdale.

Lincoln beat Sunderland 2-0.

As much as I hate Lincoln, it's almost unbelievable how far they've come since being a mid table non league side

Yeah, shows that sticking by a manager, giving them time and not making knee jerk reactions can pay off.

I must admit I was surprised they kept faith with Clough during our bad patch and failing to get to the playoffs.
I hope they give him at least 12 games next season and not 10. ;)

Not got much else to talk about at the minute

Nah I think we've done that to death.

I will admit that my omission of the wink emoticon could have started the whole thing again. I'm glad Dan saw the funny side though we usually have a short-ish conversation over it ;)

Consistently seems to get them results at home . Something to consider when we get back in the ground .

Yes. If they get to the Championship, it will give us hope. What Lincoln can achieve, so can we.
