Good Luck Bish. Enjoy the experience and maybe you’ll be back at the One Call in the future in some capacity

Bishop once claimed mansfield would do better without fans there, a point readily ridiculed.

Nice to see this season prove his point even more invalid.

However, he’s a good lad and i wish him well

Neal Bishop will join a list of former Stags who have tried their hand at managing or coaching at the Holy Blues including:

Ernie Moss (1995-1998 and 1999-2000)
Greg Fee (2000)
Phil Stant (2002-2003)
Steve Charles (2007-2009)
Adie Moses (2009)
Curtis Woodhouse (2019-2021)

Gainsborough Trinity are trying to get back into National League North after being the club who went the longest without being promoted or relegated.

Or, playing devil's advocate, we could have been relegated this last season if fans were allowed in. Bish said it about us not having fans in the ground, he said nothing about the opposition not having fans in.

Thing is there's no way of truly testing the theory.

It's a theory until proven 100% factual. The only way it could be proven is if we play a game with fans and then go back in time and play it again without fans. We can't do that.

Just like claims of "if this had happened at this point then this would have happened" it's a theory.
