Found this site on the Web, some of you may have already seen it, if it is authentic then it may explain why our two main strikers were not retained...any thoughts?

I heard from a separate decent source that Maynard was on £4.5k a week when he originally signed and Cook was on £3.8k a week. If it's anything like correct, it fully justifies the decision made to offload in January given the contribution they had both made this season.

If genuine, that is quite an interesting insight into what players at this level are being paid

I also heard we paid a decent fee for Cook too. Not sure why that would be the case though as I thought he was out of contract when we signed him but might be wrong on that.

Stephen McLaughlin needs a new agent

Over two grand a week for an already injury prone right back in Joe Riley as well looks a shocker if that figure is correct. Can call it hindsight, but he’s been injured everywhere he has been so it didn’t come as any big surprise the same happened here.

Looks little fantasy from where I'm sitting. Not arguing with who was the highest paid etc but I do think the figures are wayward, Mac on £600 per week and then Perch, who was a free transfer and not expected by GC to play more than 25 games a season £2100.

Make your choice, I will ignore the figures.

Some of those figures look in the wrong ball park.

Strikers are always the most expensive and so you expect them to be on big money. We were paying Matt Green and Jake Speight around £1,750-£2,000 per week in the National League. Tyler Walker were said to be costing £5,000 per week so you expected Nicky Maynard and Andy Cook to be on similar money especially as it is said we paid around £150,000 for Andy Cook.

I think Ryan Sweeney will be a big earner and will be earning over £2,000 per week as we signed him for a fee from a Championship club. DF's signings were also said to be more expensive than Steve Evans' signings which is backed up by the figures in the accounts. Kellan Gordon also looks on the high side but we signed him from Derby and he has signed a new contract.

I think Ollie Clarke will be over £2,000 per week if he moved up from Brizzle.

I would not have paid over £2,000 per week for James Perch even though he's turned out to be a decent signing. I think he was on big money though at Scunthorpe.

JR would have been insane to have agreed £2,100 per week for Joe Riley who was a very injury prone right back. There were plenty of other good right backs out there. You can see why he needs a Chief Executive. Saying that, JR and David Sharpe would also have been insane to agree £1,500 per week for O'Driscoll who had zero league experience.

I would have guessed Harry Charsley as originally around £500-£750 per week but he has signed a new contract so may now be over £1,000 per week. I would have also guessed Aidan Stone as £500-£750 per week so £900 looks on the high side for a young back up keeper with no league experience. You would expect him to be similar to James Clarke's £500 per week as they both came from Burnley.

There's no way Stephen McLaughlin would move up from Southend for £600 per week and Rollin Menayese is probably earning more than £750 per week. If that is all he is costing then he's a bargain back up centre half compared to O'Driscoll. I'd definitely keep him.

Tyrese will get a pay rise.

Are Jamie Chisholm, Kyle Tomlin, Kian Sketchley and Shamar Lawson still at the club?

Surely this is before Tyrese's latest contract was signed.

Yes i can relate to Cook and Maynard being our highest earners, and so it must have affected moral having them just coming off the bench playing a bit part in our fight against relegation
Wages are private and estimated is a word used often, i dont believe the chart to be accurate, bet someones assessment.
Well done a good talking point, i would have thought any player around the 1st team squad would be on a minimum of £600 per week

Maynard was on more than £4.5k.

We had players on well over £600 per week in the National League, Bear.

I found this post to be very informative and fairly accurate. We will be able to see who earns what when we sign any of these players.A few on this list are no longer at the club or have been released. All the agents managers and chairmen will use the list to compare certain players values.Interesting.

Looks like it's taken from Football manager given the positions are very consistent with how they are set up in the game. I'd take it all with a pinch of salt as salary info is hard to come by at this level.

As others pointed out, Ollie Clarke signed as captain I'd expect to be amongst the top 5 earners. Riley and Perch seem inflated, one who is injury prone and signed initially on a short-term deal and Perch released by an average Scunthorpe side coming to the end of his career couldn't demand big wages.

I was also told £150,000 fee for Cook Darren although that sounds ridiculous imo

If that's true Jamie Reid is on about £30k a goal. You would think he might have stuck it away a bit more often.
