It would have been difficult if he was out of contract now seems we move on.

Disagree. Don’t see that it makes much of a difference.

We'll just have to pay a fee. Doesn't make the deal impossible.

They know we wanted him and probably we still do, they are in a better financial position to keep him so we are going to have to pay more than we wanted if we do.
We've got Sinclair and Bowery so no fuss if no deal, it's the Reid replacement we need most.

If clough is really interested he will pursue it ,but he has clearly stated that he wants value for money so it might be a non starter ,bowery might be the man who is given a more creative role with the new strikers or striker but with our midfield providing the chances they are capable of ,it may be that ship has sailed anyway

Olly Lancashire and Eddie Nolan could fit what Nigel is after.

Will Keane

Heard us and another league 2 club (salford??) are in for him, a league 1 too.

Refused an extension at Wigan after signing short term in January.

After Wiki and discussion within a group chat, probs nailed on Salford seeing as he's manchester born

Nottingham Forest have a highly rated forward named Dale Taylor. I do appreciate we will have others already at the club but with Maynard and Cooke leaving then Taylor could be with a loan option.

Does he score 40 a season? And never misses a chance? If not, we don't want him.

Not terrible, 1 in 3. To be fair, my comment was a joke but if we have midfielders chipping in with goals next season like this one then we won't need to have a 20-25 goal a season striker if others like Lapslie, Clarke, Quinn take the pressure off our strikers.

I think Keane will probably go to Salford like you say. He was the next big thing at Man Utd at one stage.

There’s a player I’ve seen a few times called Scott McMann who plays for Hamilton. He’s a left back but likes to get forward. If we’re going to play Macca at left back he could play left wing or left mid. He scored last night from a free kick. Reminds me a lot of Alan Sheehan. He’s under contract until next year but with them going down he might have a release clause as he’s been there since 2012.

Just noted that Leyton Orient's Director of Football, Martin Ling, released his son, Sam Ling!

I agree with all the players released by Orient. Lee Angol only made 7(5) appearances. I think Sam Ling and Jordan Maguire-Drew may be the ones with the best chance of signing up for another EFL club.

Conor Wilkinson and James Brophy were their best players this season. Jamie Turley was their third top rated player on whoscored but I thought he was poor in the games I watched.

whoscored didn't have Paul Mullin in the team of the season in League Two. That tells me all I need to know about the scoring system.
