I thought he was class today. If the McLaughlin we saw today turns up next week or next season, he will be a good signing for the next 12 months.

Stephen Mclaughlin has played well since playing at left back against Oldham away. His only below average performances were against Harrogate away and Cambridge at home but that applied to most of the team. He has played particularly well since returning to the team against Cheltenham at home and deserves another contract for next season. He combines really well with Stephen Quinn down the left. Well done Stephen. Looking forward to seeing you in action in real life at Field Mill next season.

We now need to sign Stephen Quinn. Give him what he wants. He could be our Wes Hoolahan (although playing deeper).

Stephen McLaughlin was tremendous today including scoring two goals and hooking one off the line. A 10 out of 10 performance for me.

Really strong performance today.
Deserves his new deal .really settled in now and showing his quality after a difficult start.
Glad he's here and onboard for next season.
And if young Nigel says he's happy
He must be happy

he's improved more and more since he joined, happy to have him next year, think we'll sign another left back to replace Benning

He looks happy. Such an important ingredient to get the best out of players. Best out of anyone in any job really.

I think there was some reluctance to sign for Coughlan and he only got short term deals. More security from a better manager and we get treated to better performances. Coincidence? Probably not.

McLaughlin realizes we have a manager who knows what he's doing now and not the clueless chancer we had in GC. Confidence in your boss is a massive part of team building.

Strangely he had a great early couple of games including the goal at Newport and then plummeted in some people's views

To be fair I was not really concerned whether he stayed or not but I’m delighted he’s going to be here.

Versatile as well - had played lb, wide left, and midfield.

Stephen McLaughlin combines really well with Stephen Quinn down the left and they have been our best players in recent games along with George Maris.

Quinn and Maris give us control of the game which allows the attacking players to get forward and attack.

Very true, it’s a good job he’s put in numerous other good performances to back up yesterday :D

Agree with this. Think Quinn adds drive, quality and enthusiasm and this is rubbing off on his team mates.

Hope he is the first signing done.

McLaughlin has been good at left back and good in holding midfield. So so left central midfield and on the rare occasion he's played winger he's looked good.
