A good article regarding the wonderful night at Hereford.

What a night! Enjoyed watching that.

I recall the shot from Adam Murray just missing the post and thought that it just was not going to be our night.

The Green goal was just amazing probably my best Stags moment ever.

The result at Braintree was extremely disappointing. A win was a must at Hereford as Kidderminster were at home to Stockport who were in line for relegation and anything other than a home win was extremely unlikely.

I remember the tension of the Wrexham match and at 1-0 getting extremely nervous every time Wrexham crossed the halfway line.

The run after the Liverpool match was incredible but was matched by Kidderminster.

Sally can wait (She knows it's too late as we're walking on by)

Is there any footage from the elevated position of the celebrations in the crowd following the winner? At the point where the video switches to Green at pitch level.

Until Sally, I was never happy
I needed so much more
Rain clouds, oh, they used to chase me
Down they would pour…
Our time will come

yes, though I haven't got time this morning to dig out the clip. I will dig it out later if you remind me.

During lockdown last year, we had the full match video from the main camera with Radio Nottingham commentary for iFollow subscribers. That is not available now though as to my extreme annoyance they removed all vintage videos at the start of this season when they did an upgrade.

Here is the Radio Nottm commentary of the goal. https://stagsnet.net/interviews/Herefor ... oNottm.mp3
Radio Nottm did commentary of every away game in the Conference. Mansfield 103.2 only did a few games, including the Hereford game.

I was there, and agree that the winning goal was probably the most exciting single moment in Stags history. Odd really, as we didn't secure promotion until the Green penalty in the next match.

But I think that the sense of impending doom was weighing more and more heavily as the Hereford match went on, and the sudden release with only three minutes of added time was a perfect storm of delight. The penalty against Wrexham was more significant, but because that was in the first half there wasn't the tension we felt at Hereford.

Totally agree and I think anyone else there that evening will agree too. Once in a lifetime moment and forever thankful that I put the time off work to make the journey after feeling totally dejected at the Braintree experience.
Where would we be now without Green's late winner and penalty a few days later?

Oh Sally Cinnamon, is it 8 years ago ! Seems like only last year. Wish we could live another night like that, it was great running around like a nutcase behind that goal.

Following lower league teams like us means moments like this are very few and far between! (usually around every 9 years or so).....think we are due our next moment in the 21/22 season :D

Who is our fan who went to console Bittner, and then help pick their player up leaning against the post? That's class! :)
