We can practice shooting and crossing, probably only one of a few weeks he's had chance to train all week.
I feel 2 wins are heading our way if we tidy up a bit.

Confirmation from Nigel that a GK is on the shopping list. Assume he will look to offload Stech & keep Stone as back up.

Wonder what will happen to the young pardington, or is he only on loan?

Stone is out of contract this year Stech isn't.

Just saying.

I would prefer Stone to stay, he will improve, Stech won't.

Stech/Stone . Both stand rooted to the spot on corners and crosses from the byeline . Logan must still be sniggering . In terms of who plays the last 5 games there is zero between them so I wouldn't care either way . Both made far too many errors . I would guess privately NC is disappointed in both .
Stone would be the one to keep as a number 2 as a young keeper who may improve but the contract situation with his finishing and Stech having another year could complicate it .

Clough said he prefers to have 3 goalkeepers. I've not had chance to watch yet but did he say specifically whether the GK would 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice?

He didn’t.

He was asked are you happy with what you’ve got or will you be looking to recruit. He said he will certainly be looking to recruit.

Hopefully when we are safe he will be given a game. I can't see Stone being offered a new contract. Stech may be hard to move on, so I can see him being with us next season.

Another outcome is Stech loaned out and stone is given a new contract. Hard to tell what will happen at the minute. Both keepers have made a couple of really bad mistakes and wouldn't be surprised if we had new keepers next season.

We need the next Alan Marriott

Conrad and Bobby are still the best keepers we have had since returning to the EFL.

Olejnik was on fire when he had that spell under Flitcroft but was never the same after the bad injury but that comes as no surprise. Logan was Marmite.

Which goes some of the way to explaining why we've not troubled the League 1 fixture planners yet . I agree they were better than the current 2 .

I would put forward the argument that we have never had two keepers at the club as a pair who were as good as Conrad and Bobby in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019.

We may have had one decent keeper at the club but not two in the same season.

Clough also talked separately about giving time for young players to develop, so I would be surprised if he gets rid of Stone.

The thing about keepers are they seem to mature later than outfield players, unless they are exceptional. Stone will come good, Stech is now as good as he can get and that's not very good in my opinion.

Rod Arnold and Martin New.
Kevin Hitchcock and Andy Beasley (we also had young Jason Pearcey ) that season.

Only played a few times but Paul Evans was a good keeper
