As a fan I would want my manager to have at least a supporting role in first team league football. As we know to our cost, a lower standard doesn’t work.

I think their progressive approach in general should be applauded. I know some of their principles are not to everyone’s taste, but the eco-friendly stuff they do is great.
Re a female manager. I see no reason why a woman could not succeed in coaching and managing a men’s team. They will of course have challenges but nothing that should be insurmountable.
I do question the timing though. If they gave the run in to this season to a woman, and she failed to get them promoted then it really would be light in to touch paper for those who are vehemently against anything different being tried.

The ex Scotland manageress was the first woman to coach in the male lower leaguess and there is a French woman who managed in the French league 2 for a few years, it really wouldn't surprise me for forest green to go this way.
The commercial interest would be massive.
