They need to, but I've a feeling it'll be a draw.

The Southend Colchester game will be tense in the next couple of weeks. From our point of view someone has to drop points.
I don’t think we will get relegated but as soon as we’re mathematically safe I think NC will start to experiment a bit with youngsters.
I for one will we glad when the season is over

Southend should beat Crawley today so Grimsby really need to win at Bradford City to keep their slim hopes of survival alive. I might watch that game today.

Oldham Athletic 5 Colchester United 2

Watched this game after the Stags. Dylan "Bamboozler" had a couple of early chances to score for Oldham before a poor back pass by Callum Whelan and kick by Oldham keeper, Laurie Walker, nearly allowed Wiredu to score. Oldham took the lead when Tom Eastman inexplicably chopped down Oldham MOM, Davis Keillor-Dunn, in the area. Conor McAleny scored the penalty to take him to 17 league goals for the season. Alfie McCalmont then curled a free kick off the post into the net after some typical Curle shithousery with five Oldham players jumping up and down in front of the keeper. HT: 2-0

Carl Piergianni, always dangerous at set pieces, scored from a corner to make it 3-0 and it looked game over. However Col U left back, Ryan Clampin, made a good interception that allowed Frank Nouble to grab a goal back and then Keith Curle went all negative and subbed forward, Conor McAleny, for the more defensive Ben Garrity. He then paid the price as Col U started to come forward more and Tom Eastman scored with a shot outside the area which Laurie Walker let slip underneath him on 81 minutes. It looked like Col U had a decent chance of matching the 3-3 draw earlier in the season and Ryan Clampin did get clean through on goal but Walker made a good save. Davis Keillor-Dunn then scored two goals on the counter attack for Oldham in injury time as Col U threw bodies forward. Keillor-Dunn has now scored 10 league goals. FT: 5-2

Another bad result for Col U but they at least scored two goals away from home. The Essex derby with Southend is going to be a massive game

Oldham MOM: Davis Keillor-Dunn
Col U MOM: Ryan Clampin

I wonder which match Nigel is at. He'll either be watching an up coming opposition, our on loan players, or a potential transfer target.

Menayese is marking Cook in the Bradford Vs Grimsby match.

Grimsby are playing quite well. James Hanson and Giles Coke have missed good chances from headers. Giles Coke headed over bar from close range.

Elliott Hewitt and Rollin Menayese making good runs out of defence for Grimsby. Bradford City's main threat is long throws from Clayton Donaldson. Gareth Evans has just had their first shot on target. Grimsby have been the best team so far.

Cook missed a sitter of a header.

And Bradford take the lead.

HT Southend 0-0 Crawley

Very open game with both teams going for it. Crawley have gone closer to scoring with 3 near-misses.

Great defensive header by Sam Habergham to stop Andy Cook scoring from a Conor Wood cross. Gareth Evans takes the corner. Cleared by Grimsby but Elliott Watt plays it back to Evans whose cross from the left flicks off the head of Matete straight to Anthony O'Connor at the far post to give Bradford an undeserved lead. It's all about taking your chances.

Steffan Payne may have been just sent off for Grimsby for headbutting his own player after the half time whistle. He and Morais started falling out about a ball Morais played forward on a counter attack. Rollin Menayese trying to talk the ref out of it. Payne has run off back to the dressing room and did not come back to the ref.

I joked with Nigel Clough last night that just about every other League Two club seems to have a long throw merchant now and we seemed to have found ours in Tyrese Sinclair!

Ref stood at the bottom of the steps leading up to the away dressing room and Stefan Payne popped his head out and received the red card. Total madness by Stefan Payne.

If you’re head butting your own player, it sort of tells a tale of how the squad is and how not together they are. Insane

What is happening to Lincoln. In danger of slipping out of a play off position. It seems to be Flitcroftesque :o
