I assume it is because Newport are due to play on the 13th, so it gives them an extra day recovery time, and gives un an extra day to recover for our next match the following Saturday.

People look forward to a game on a Sat. at 3 pm like it should be,
not 6pm on a sodding Friday night.

For the Stags who've got a game on the previous Monday,
it would make more sense to play on Sat. anyway.

Newport have a game on the Monday as well, so it makes no difference.

Friday - Monday - Friday. Not much different to Saturday - Tuesday - Saturday.

Do we play better in the evening than the afternoon? Not checked results but maybe that's why

Maybe with our schedule as it is an 8 day gap could be beneficial in getting the injured lads back?

You said it would make more sense for us to play on the Saturday, when it actually makes very little difference. That was my point.

We wouldn’t have agreed to it if it didn’t suit us. It will also give our staff the chance to go and watch games on the Saturday when some wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.

I think it’s reasonable yes, in this unprecedented season.

What fans?.. there is none in the stadium
This season is already over for us...absolutely nothing to play for... Nobody really cares as we limp up to the 46 game mark (see the lack of interest on match threads)

Seriously JR is not gunna be bothered that afew people wont be buying a match pass cos there at work... Lets just get this awful season over with.
