As you know, Martin Shaw gives players a rating after every games as well as fans do if they log on to Eggy's survey on here.
Both surveys have the similar average ratings for the players.
I have grouped the players into above average compared to team mates, average and below average and only players still available to be picked this season and have started at least three games before the Grimsby game. Numbers in brackets are number of starts. 42 is maximum.
The above average group are
7.06 Lapslie (22)
6.95 O.Clarke (25)
6.81 Quinn (11)
6.81 Law (8 )
6.79 Maris (31)
6.71 Charsley (34)
6.70 Bowery (33)
The average group are
6.63 Perch (23)
6.61 Gordon (26)
6.61 O'Keefee (11)
6.60 Sweeney (32)
6.57 Benning (27)
The below average group are
6.50 Rawson (38)
6.50 Sinclair (3)
6.48 Stone (14)
6.48 McLaughlin (24)
6.44 Reid (28)
6.42 Stech (28)
Don't think there are any surprises, except perhaps Rawson and Sweeney might change before end of season.
Goalkeeper's scores seem low but actually they never seem to get tested and hence don't score more than a 7. They only get noticed when they drop a clanger.
Those accustomed to privilege may feel that equality is oppression.

Perch should be higher IMO. I can’t remember many bad games he’s had.

Quite a few of his 23 starts were at the start of the season when he was suppose to be playing in midfield by Coughlan , when in fact he was holding the centre halves hands.

Yep, Rawson has been immense since Christmas. Sweeney is a total liability and flop of the season.

Perch under Coughlan's reign was overall average of 5.89 (8 games) but 7.04 (15 games) after Coughlan.

Similar with the Perch scores, Rawson's scores with Coughlan 5.76 (10 games) and 6.78 (28 games) after Coughlan.

I though my Perch still played well under Coughlan.

The problem is with our keepers is everything that gets hit at them seems to go in.
no digs at the keepers here, but defensively, we generally do quite well to limit opportunities, but those ones that get passed defence are more often than not goals, not saves.

McLaughlin has been much improved in midfield over his time at full back
