Notice Stones kicking is questionable again in those highlights. Looks like he consistently struggles to get any height on his clearances.

It is more worrying for me than that, in that he can hoof it miles but is inconsistent so sometimes just seems to pick out an opposite striker perfectly

Aidan Stone's kicking has generally been a lot better than Marek Stech. We generally lose possession after every Stech kick.

I don't think it is, Stone doesn't always like up the same way to kick when it is played back to him and it is happening to often when it is not happening to opposition goalkeepers for it to be bobbles from the pitch.
Most of the miskicks are scuffs rather than it bouncing unexpectedly and going sideways off his foot
