Same here, interesting his comments re when Cheltenham scored. Seems he felt pretty much the same as plenty on here. Pity whiffy wasn't stood behind him and slapped him round the head and bawled, 'GROW A CLUCKIN SPINE'!!

Refreshing he gave the credit for the change in formation to someone else. Also good to see it is a management team and not a one man band.

It is a trait in his character I really like, just like when he took the blame for Lapslie's injury.

I also like the fact that he gives players a chance to attone for a bad game. Most managers at this level would have benched Gordon after Saturday, some would have dropped in from the 17, Evans would have gone out and signed 3 new right backs.

Clough seems to be of the if you fall off a horse get straight back on it school of thought. I think that's going to really upset those that require instant gratification.
Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.

Yes that is a good trait for isolated poor games. The downside though is that it must be very discouraging for players who permanently sit on the bench.

Just wanted to point out a small negative, for their disallowed goal when Blair nicked it past Benning, Quinn's reaction to getting back was awful.

In general, he had a good game though.

He was rewarded for his excellent management too as Gordon had a fine game. He's done the same with others too, so players know that if they make an error they will be criticised but he will stand by them and give them another chance. Others would have just dropped him, as I said in the match thread, that was the easy, but wrong, thing to do.

Yes, I thought it was an interesting comment re listening to Gary Crosby. He, Nigel and Andy Garner make a strong team and I am sure Simon Clough will have his targets for next season in mind - there will be good reasons why the January transfer window wasn't as lively as some would have liked.
