Depends what league we are in i suppose.

I like your optimism but I don't think we will make league one.

I’m not far off of your list, depends on what wages some of the backup players are on. Some might be ok as squad fillers if cheap but new keeper, central defender, winger and centra striker the priority. We should have some cash if Maynard and Cook are off.

We still have an option on Cook

Stephen Quinn is a class player, but age means he would probably struggle to play 50+ games.

Everyone else can go!

Ollie Clarke & Marek Stech been big disappointments

I'm surprised Corey O'Keeffe has not played more games.

Appears I'm on my own regarding how disappointing Ollie Clarke's been :D

To leave his birthplace club after 10 years and uproot to Mansfield he must be on top money.

How many top money performances has the captain had this season?

Both George's, Lapslie and Maris, both younger and performed better.

Players come in and out of form all the time. During that 5 game winning streak/when Clough came in Clarke was very impressive. I think he's been one of the better players this year along with Maris and Lapslie.

We've finally got our midfield just about right I feel, but it just happened when our defence and strike force have been very poor!

You are not alone.

Although Clark has been acceptable, I don’t think he has lived up to his big reputation and has definitely been under parr as of late. It could be he is carrying an injury but he has certainly been off the pace. I believe he is the main reason Reid is struggling as he’s just not supporting him closely enough and the ball gets lost.

We must remember though that the team has been disrupted somewhat of late and that may be the reason he isn’t clicking.

Midfield is the only reason we are not chasing Grimsby right now . Goalkeeper, defence and strikers need major surgery before we get the scalpel out in the middle of the park .

We may have an option on Cook but he has never really fitted in for whatever reason.

His wage demand is likely to be that of a L1 centre forward and if Nigel wanted him here next term he wouldn't have let him go out on loan.

I think Andy Cook and Nicky Maynard's days at the club are over if they have been sent out on loan.

There is also the possibility that they both could have options of a new contract in their favour if they made more than a certain number of appearances for the Stags this season. That would be a very valuable option for Andy Cook based on his pre-covid salary which could be £4,000-£5,000 per week plus appearance, goal and promotion bonuses.

100% we need a new front line & a few additions
To the back line.
We need Clarke to step more, think we've been
Waiting long enough.
Maynard, cook, wont be anywhere near mansfield
Next year, both a waste of money.
For me its 3 new strikers, with Knowles as back up
He's still young but not really showing much at notts.

I'm sure Nigel and his brother have their targets lined up.

If Ryan Bowman was considering a move to Burton Albion then could we persuade him to come to the Stags? He is a good League 2 target man along with the likes of Jamille Matt, James Vaughan and Scott Quigley. The Carlisle commentators were mentioning that Bowman comes from Carlisle and that he may want to move back up North.

Is there any chance that we could buy players in from anywhere or is it just Burton ?

My thought entirely. Why do we need Burton castoffs, when they haven't been pulling up any trees this season. Thats when they've managed a game.

Have you watched their results, and just for the record, Bowman plays for Exeter City

The only position, in my opinion, we need urgently to find for the first team is left back. Knowles and Caine up front supported by Reid and Bowery, midfield of Gordon , Ward , Sinclair and Law, Clarke, Rawson, Sweeney, new left back, Stone. Sorted. And that would bve a team worth crossing the Irish Sea to go and watch.

By definition the two we wanted, Burton didn't let them go. So how can they be cast offs ?

I’m very surprised you wouldn’t include Lapslie in your starting 11. He would be the first name on my team sheet and certainly in front of Gordon.

Our players haven't been pulling up many trees this season either.

It's like managers sign players they know/like/understand how they work.

On the bench, Academy players come first.

Rawson.... bench warmer
Gordon......bench warmer
Sinclair......bench warmer

That's it

I’d go with that other than convert Gordon to a winger or move him on he’s not a defender.

I'd swap Sweeney for Rawson. Think Sweeney has more potential, but he hasn't improved as much as I thought he would since signing

Agree with the Sweeney comment, although he's looked a capable defender alongside Pearce in previous seasons. I personally don't understand what people see in Rawson, an extremely limited and average defender prone to mistakes. We could do better than both imo.

I think most of the team has been pretty average to poor this season, so I'd be willing to give him next season with a fresh start under Clough. He was always in a FGR team constantly in/pushing for the play offs. Just probably needs a more experienced head next to him
