I don’t think he is too far off with those comments.

Stupid, stupid Sunday League mistakes by a player who has got away with far more than he deserved in other matches and his luck finally ran out.

Even after the sending off I thought we would win that game. Gordon should never play in defence again as not only is he not good enough but his confidence is totally shot.

All well and good Nigel, blaming Gordon, but you sholdn't be playing him as a defender - as others have already said.

I have always said that Gordon is good coming forward but is a poor defender.Cost us two goals today.I remember when we played Port Vale last season and he stupidly gave a corner away in the last minute needlessly as their player had the last touch and all he had to do was let the ball go out for a goal kick.He belted the ball into the stands conceded a corner from which they scored costing us 2 points. He will be with us next season as he recently signed an extension.

don’t like how he keeps sweeping the lack of creativity under the carpet in these interviews.

He makes out we have had clear cut chances in the last 4 games and we haven’t, we haven’t moved the ball quick enough or got enough players in the box to create chances.

We have had clear cut chances in the last few games. Very few admittedly, but there have been clear cut chances.

I’m not so sure we have if I’m honest, Reid’s 1 today, can’t remember a clear chance against Bradford, Clarke had a 1-1 from a tight angle against Harrogate.

Either way, he talks like we’re creating plenty and we’re not. Yes the defensive errors have been woeful but so has some of our attacking play, the players get in each other’s way a lot of the time if I’m honest, we used to get a lot of joy from crosses but now Lapslie is out the team we don’t.

Clough mentioned a week away at the Bradford game, so hopefully not long left.

Edit- tends to be always longer then what clough says in interviews.

That’s cool, it’s clear we need him.

I think his comments were a semi morale boost for the team. He can't have had the same discussion in the dressing room as it was dire from 1 minute to 95.

Thing is Reid had 1, ONE! Uno. Just the one opportunity. Whether he is league standard or not isn't up for debate for me until he gets more service and more support. When he had support from Lapslie he looked a useful. If not good, player. Since lapslie got injured he's been up there on his own with no help. His one opportunity today came from Bowery being up there with him. Funny how that works.

I saw the game differently as you’d expect. I didn’t see us creating very much in the last third. I saw a team that was low on confidence and a team that fell apart quickly. Funny game eh

I don’t think modern coaches see players as having one set position. They look at their attributes and pick their position based on how well it fits a particular tactic or system.

A back 5 could help cover the right back position, I'm not sure Clough would change his system though.
It's frustrating because we know they can play good football, we've seen it.

We don’t need cover for RB, we’ve got four of them!

Think he has realised he's a championship std manager trying to work with national league std players... Must be hard for him to get his head around.
