Said in another thread, don’t think 50 points will be required.
41 is the average over the last ten years for the 23rd placed team.
Southend passed on PPG are on track for 40/41.

I think Grimsby are gone and won’t get 40 points.
2 wins puts us on 43 from there I suspect 1 or 2 more points would see us finish above the second relegation place, whether that be Barrow or Southend not sure

there’s no way 2 of the sides below us are getting to 45.
that’s 2 wins and a 2 draws, or 3 wins

Pretty sad indictment of the club, when you are hoping to get another 6 points out of a total of 14 games, to get third from bottom place!

I'm sure we'd all like, and expect more. But that's not the discussion is it, the question was do we need 50 points?
I din't think we do, but I also thing we'll finish around 55 points.

Sad or not that's the reality of the situation. The problem was last summers recruitment. It's still very much in our hands.

If both bottom two continue with their current PPG, we’re already safe.

I don't think for one minute that is what the club are hoping for. Just some of the Stags more nervous or pessimistic fans.
We'll finish comfortably mid table and I'd hazard a guess at around the 57-60 point mark.

That'll be a bloody miracle after the start of the season we had, did you see any games under Coughlan Broomo? (That's not a snide dig, genuine question)

I did mate. I watched them all back 2 or 3 days before Nige was appointed to see what he was inheriting.
The odd decent 15-20 minute spell of decent football typically followed by some kamikaze defending.

Shows how much nige has improved us. Most of us thought we were doomed for relegation after no wins in like 11 games. I am excited for the summer to see what players he brings in.

Agree Bobby, I don’t think we were nailed on but we’d be scrapping with Barrow and Southend had Coughlan remained.

Theres always a team in the bottom two that wins enough to escape, thing is it'll drag colchester or PortVale into it not us...
The fact we seem to beat sides at the top shows we have enough to be mid table.
Will history repeat its self and see Daryl Clarke take over a "safe" team only to be relegated again? Got my eye on Port Vale atm.
Looking at our next games..
Crawley
Carlisle
Grimsby
4 wins on the spin isn't out of the question here. Were more than safe.
