Barrow Scorethread (sp) sponsored by spelling padants united

It was about this time last year I started my 6 month unbeaten threading reign.

Here's to history repeating.

Do you mean the league being cancelled again?

I would take that right now.

Yeah. Hence the ;)

If I got through the best I could come up with to do with barrow would be a their wheel falling off like that local non league side went on about or something.

This game won't be easy. They are fighting to stay in the league. A draw would be a good result for us.

We will win this, it won’t be easy as Barrow will be desperate for a win but we must be ruthless and go for it.

Didn't Barrow stuff us at Field Mill? I don't know about Barrow desperate for a win, we might be after this game. So I'd be happy to avoid defeat. ;)

Coughlan's last game in charge. 2-1 down after 50 minutes and o'driscoll got sent off. Ended up losing 4-2.

Just don’t lose it. Gap is comfortable now and important to keep it that way.

It won’t be an easy game, they’ll be looking at this as a chance to start reeling us in despite the current gap and will be well up for it. If we’re feeling sorry for ourselves after recent form and injuries we’ll get turned over.

Perch in at CB for Rawson is one change I’d definitely make.

Potentially, and I wouldn’t be averse to that either! Just recall Perch being pretty impressive at CB just after Coughlan left and he only lost his place due to picking up an injury I think? Gave us a calmness as he reads the game quite well and is much more comfortable on the ball than Rawson & Sweeney.

He was basically playing CB under Coughlan and he didn't bother to spot it and just play him there... He did really well once moved back and would like to see him there, I think he's better at CB than RB

If Maris and Clarke are both out, as well as Lapslie, I reckon Perch will be in midfield.

I agree. He’s not really got the legs to play midfield and right back as well as you’d like really. He is capable of filling in and doing a job for a game or two but CB is his best position

I just hope we don't concede first. If we do I hope they've remembered to take the white flag with them so we can switch off and go and watch some paint dry.

Barrow could put us back into a relegation scrap, and are already scrapping for their league status for them it will be a must win game, we must not under estimate them having brought in 9 players in January, they have used the furlough scheme to lose unwanted players, having lost 6 out of the last 7 by the odd goal they are not being well beaten.
Our attitude must be spot on, we know our faults, but like groundhog day, we keep repeating them and rely on other results to go our way.
Clough has stated the squad is good enough, but results are faltering, and faint hearts on sat will not help our cause, Barrow have a good squad and are at home.
You can never play for a draw, but a draw would be a solid achievement, leaving players free in our goal area leaves questions that need to be addressed, and quickly
