Good, disciplined performance today, thoroughly deserved the points.

Maris was good, so were Sir Mal, Gordon, Bowery and Quinn. I also like Jason Law, I think he’s got something and we should persevere with him.

They were really poor given their league position. Surprised that Kelvin Mellor has ended up there, always impressed by him in the past and was again today.

Derek Adams interview on BBC Radio Lancashire 52m 30s - Poor game on a poor pitch with one shot on target which was the winning goal.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0971lwv

I'm sure I heard him shout near the end "Referee! You are spoiling the afternoon"

The ref then agreed at the end to have a chat with him 30 minutes after the game and Adams said "You've let them get away with it."

Stephen Hendrie did it twice after he came on as a sub. On 62 minutes, you can hear Ollie Clarke saying "Where's he flipping going ref?"

....and right at the end, you can hear a Stags player saying "where's he going?"

Adams is a poor loser, he was always moaning when he was at Plymouth.

did like the way we left the covers close to the touch line so they could get a run up with the long throw, need to use that tactic with other teams worked well.

Excellent performance and result. It just shows that keeping cool and resolute after a couple of defeat is far better than some of the reaction s on here were.

Ironic thing is the ref let them get away with far more than we did.

The ref today was totally inconsistent but the fouls that he missed on Reid and Quinn in the second half were ridiculous.

Nice to get one over Derek Adams, a Master of the Dark Arts.

I remember battering Plymouth in the first half in March 2017 under Steve Evans and then losing 2-0 mainly due to two great Graham Carey free kicks. The first one was headed in by Sonny Bradley.

All about getting a result , stopping the losing run and installing confidence. Keeping a clean sheet after the Harrogate display was a bonus .Job done.

Now move on to a better more confident performance and start the momentum again.

The difficult pitch excuse must be wearing a bit thin for managers, there is barely a decent pitch left in the league. Furlough, the uncertainty over the restart and the wettest winter in donkey's years have seen to that.
