Yeah that could work. I’m a bit loathed to suggest going back to a 3 given how poor we were at it earlier in the season.

True but our midfield is much better now, Maris is playing well, Clarke is fit and we have Quinn. As others have said, Perch looked better at CB and Gordon is a better wing back than full back.

I think Perch could do with a rest personally. Given his age and not long back from injury I don’t think he can cope keep playing three games a week.

I agree that Stephen Quinn had his best game for us against Bolton and had a good game yesterday.

Ryan Sweeney had a bad day at the office yesterday but he has played well this season particularly since Nigel Clough has arrived. Good left sided centre backs can also be difficult to recruit. Steve Thompson used to go on about this when talking about Scott Wharton playing for Lincoln City on loan from Blackburn Rovers.
