That doesn't address the potential loss of attracting advertisers if you hide adverts. In present times store them on the seats or in front of BBS.

Will you go and shift the covers? I'd imagine they aren't light.

What about the ads under the TV gantry? They get no air time.

I'd imagine it'd be a health and safety issue if they stored them in front of the Bishop Street stand, or are you suggesting they be lifted over?

Maybe we could offer out the seats in the IGL to advertisers so it's shown on replays?

There’s no room for them over the BSS as there’s already some there. Plus the ones there have been put over that part of the pitch so it makes sense to keep them over there. Even more so with Ben Tozer on his way.

The suppliers of the fibre sand were on furlough too, we only got 20 tonnes instead of the 100 wanted.
I remember trying to get a bag of plaster, it was impossible at times.
Nobody knew if the season would start let alone finish, a tad unfair to blame anyone without the full facts of the situation we were facing.

The time between the end of the last season and beginning of this meant that, due to the fluidity of the EFL giving restart dates a lot of clubs could not organise to have contractors in to carry out the 6 or 7 weeks necessary to take the top off and relay the pitch. And for non-furloughed staff to cram a lot of planned date specific maintenance into a short period.

It is not a case of pointing the finger anymore but more a case of what is required to put it right in the summer, can it be done and can it be afforded.

Hopefully we can.

OMG folk are still moaning about the pitch, it's not the worst up and down the leagues.

As for the advertising, I bet most people who advertise are Stags fans or want to help the club in some way and really don't give two hoots whether the covers are there or not.

But it's not County's ground, I think it belongs to the egg chasers.

I really hope the FA refuse their request to move but then I wouldn’t be surprised if the Welsh FA overruled it as they seemingly always do in favour of their own clubs!

Newport are being allowed to play at the Cardiff City Stadium. I think this is unfair personally.

I think this season has to be seen as a one-off. Pitches haven't been prepared properly in the summer because of Covid, and so to avoid fixture chaos and further games being off this strikes me as a pragmatic decision.

I see that the met office is forecasting 12 hours of heavy rain, starting 6 hours after our game on Tuesday finishes. Let's hope that doesn't come forward by 12 hours.

Newport’s pitch is the same every season to be fair Martin. And I specifically remember them crowing earlier in the season that their pitch was better than ever this season.

Is it any wonder the pitch is rubbish, it's a mud wrestling Rugby Ground isn't it, what do they expect.

Barrow's or our pitch are the least of our worries. It's the shambolic players representing our club that's the worry.
