Now you’ll be in trouble. Don’t you know all the dud signings were from Steve Evans

I think its a domino effect, Some of Evans signings were crap and the next manager then had to work with these expensive players who weren't good enough sat in the stands, They then had to sign what they could and the likes of Gethin Jones and Craig Davies are evidence of it.

Thing is I cant see Nigel wasting or spending a huge amount on players. I don't think he's ever done it before and its the sign of a decent manager that won't just go after names like when the "failure" signed Grant with little thought to disrupting the side.

The future is bright.

‘They had to sign what they could’

I don’t understand, Davies was a expensive signing made in the summer with a transfer fee, Flitcroft was not scraping the barrel, it was just a poor judgement, it had nothing to do with the poor signings Evans made.

Flitcroft actually had a good summer, but a shocking January, where despite being given even more money failed to bring in the right players, Jones, Ajose, and Grant all three ultimately didn’t work out.

No. Players can only be recalled in the next transfer window. Cook is gone.

Andy Cook came on as a sub in the 78th minute for Danny Rowe who scored a good goal in the first half.

Dion Donahue came on as a sub for Barrow in the 65th minute and played well. He could be a good signing for the Bluebirds unless he gets arrested or sent to prison.

And yet he was still a better Stags manager than Flitcroft so that says a lot doesn't it? ;)

Andy Cook is not in Bradford City's team or on the bench for away game at Exeter City. Danny Rowe, Billy Clarke and Gareth Evans are missing as well.

Has Covid-19 struck at Valley Parade?

[Posted on Weekend Matches Thread]

"Had a listen to BBC Radio Leeds and a read of the Bradford forum. Billy Clarke was injured and Andy Cook may have rolled his ankle last week against Barrow. Very unlucky. He was only on the pitch 15 minutes. Andy Cook deserves a break. He has been really unlucky. He was playing well earlier this season when he was dropped by Graham Coughlan.

Danny Rowe had a heavy cold and so self isolated. He has tested negative for Covid. Not sure about Gareth Evans.

I did wonder if some of them car shared and one of them (Danny Rowe) had to isolate. I think Andy Cook lives in Sheffield though."

I agree, for whatever reason he didn't fit.

He's a goalscorer when he gets the service, something he never had at Mansfield.
