Not a chance with him coming post cap.

We signed Cook for a fee after a decent season in L1, he will probably be our biggest earner now.

Depends if his contract was offered before the cap date... The cap date doesnt take into consideration the date it was signed just the date it was offered in this circumstance.

Shame, I liked him and he looked better this season. Can only think we have better incoming.

Agree don’t think Cook ever really got going and had a decent run in the team to see what he could do
He has been ok and I think we all thought that he would play with Maynard but don’t think they had more than a couple of games together but could be wrong
Thanks Andy for your time here u have done your best.

Feel like Cook’s an odd fit with Bradford considering they just signed Rowe who’s also a bigger, less mobile striker?

Hopefully this sets things in motion for us to sign a wide forward (Akins?) and a striker who Clough believes fits in better with how we play.

Rowe is more of a footballer, despite his size. He likes the ball into feet and can link play.

I like Cook as a impact striker , but he lacks the speed for a modern striker

Wish Cookey atb

And tbh I have blown hot and cold with him.

Am I right he comes from up/has roots that way so potentially thats a good move?

Maybe he asked for the loan, it's obvious he would only be on the bench.
I really liked him, going to be hard to find a better similar type of forward.
I'd be happy if he stayed.

He asked for a move last Jan due to lack of starts (10). He’s started 8 this time around. So you wouldn’t be surprised if he’s asked again.

Good luck Cooky, thought he did alright for us, it definitely weakens us as there isn’t a better target man to bring off the bench but he was never going to be happy being a sub and his wages wasn’t justified by his place in the squad.

He’s done very little since being here I don’t get the love in at all always looked a conference player to me . Any bantams fans reading this the fastest you’ll see him move is when he comes off from the bench jogging to the centre circle ... we need better a good move from NC

I would assume once NC saw his hefty wage he's been trying to move him on as soon as he could...

A handful on his day but I'm 100% NC will get better bang for his buck.
These are my opinions , if you don't like them I have others...

I think this is good business because I trust the gaffer to get better in.

I don’t think Cook has ever properly settled. We definitely will never see him in a Stags shirt again.

I'm with the piscine shot stopper on this one. Never really looked interested to me. Scored a few decent goals from the bench but rarely looked fit.

Does akins still play as a striker?? Hes quite old in football terms going to be 32 next. What type of player is he. He doesnt seem prolific is he more of a defensive hard working striker?
