On a bloody awful, wet and grey morning, with the need for a bit of good news*, this gesture by the SSA brought a warm ray of sunshine my way.
Thanks to the SSA and all those who have given their time, money and support to The Stags through the current Covid crisis and previous crises. I'm proud of you all.
*Yesterday's permanent signing of George Lapslie wasn't too bad either .....

What is a kit van. What's it's purpose.

taking the kit to an away ground, getting the dressing room set up with all the kit, setting up the warm up areas on the pitch, and I'm sure more that I'm not aware of. Normally done by Tobias and Oliver these days. All done before the players arrive.

Once upon a time they stuck it all in the luggage comp of the team coach.

Is it hire purchase?
Does the club not own the van?
I don't think I fully understand the need for the donation?

The van is hired, not owned. The donation is to cover the costs to help the club financially.

Couldn't they just buy a 2nd hand van with the two grand? Chinese Mick's got one for sale. 120k on t'clock and a nice little runner. Needs two new tyres though.
