Great photo though youth.

He’ll be going on loan again IMO. We already have Bowery, Reid and Sinclair, and Cloughy is talking about fetching in at least two more.

Agreed. Clough is right in thinking we need at least 2 more strikers and with that in mind I don’t think there’s room for Sinclair and Knowles. Sinclair has done well, picked up a few goals and is more versatile so gets the nod from me. Reid would be 5th choice at best for me next season.

If we intend to play 3 up top next season, there will be plenty of game time available for Sinclair and Knowles.

To be fair I’d keep Sinclair and Knowles over Bowery and Reid but we need a proven goal scorer who has done it consistently over the years. Saying that, given the chance Sinclair could be our next star

I think you need to temper your expectations re Sinclair, he's good and will get better but he is not the finished article yet, same goes for Jimmy Knowles, give them time.

you'll win nothing with kids!

i seem to remember a football "expert" saying that about man ure one time.

sinclair may not yet be the finished article, but 3 in 3 is a pretty good return.
knowles has been holding his own amongst the cloggers, so league two will be like playing with gentlemen after that.
my one regret is...i have no regrets!

Sinclair , Knowles two young players just learning their craft, and being nurtured by the staff to the demands of 1st team football, breaking into the team is the easy part,
being a marked man every game takes on a new level, Only the confidence of the manager in letting Cook n Maynard go on loan allowed Sinclair his chance of a run in the side.
Meanwhile Knowles at 19 has along way to go and maybe will go out on loan again, Judging them with Bowery a x premier league player, and signed from league 1, M_K_Dons ,and in line for player of the season, is pushing the boat out to far, I hope both go on and have successful careers, but way to early to judge this early in their careers.

Both Sinclair and Knowles will be given a pre season to prove to NC that they should be on the fringes of the first team, if not then they can send them out on loan for a few months, it is very early days with both of them. I think we should keep Bowery and lose Reid, Maynard doesn’t seem to be pulling up any trees so I think he will struggle to get another League two team, really not sure about Cook, obviously doesn’t fit in here but it may be another case like Maynard waiting to see if anything better comes along, can’t see Bradford being any better than us next season.

Think Jimmy is behind Sinclair at the moment and I'm not certain Sinclair will be in the starting 11 depending on signings.
Cook wouldn't stay to be on the bench for about half the wages he's on now, Maynard would do well at County or maybe Southend.
Time we'll tell.

Wow . Jimmy Knowles must have hit a bad patch . On clowntys forum he has suddenly gone from Jimmy Goals ... play him every game , to just plain not being good enough to wear the shirt .
Nothing to do with us taking up the option to keep him of course .
Hope he reads some of the comments just before that last minute penalty he might have to take in the playoffs if they get there .

Strange. The bedwetters were literally wetting themselves over the fact of trying to secure him permanently in the summer.

Must be that dementia kicking in.

Is Jimmy coming back after our season ends so he can benefit from enough time off before the start of our season, or is he coming back when Notts' season ends, which may mean he's worn out by the time we start? Haven't they got about 8 games left?

Four now but possibly three more in the play offs which will be played in June! So he could get only a fortnight off!
