At 23, footloose and single, under the management of NC Mansfield is a good option. He could live in Sheffield, Nottingham or Leicester.

Grind out survival this season, then be up at the top next season in front of fans. Get sold for a big fee to a Championship team summer of 2022.

Hope he signs and stays on form.

I think he has a partner and a kid.

He’s also a big family man as he wished his mum a happy birthday after he scored a goal the other week too. I hope he comes here, just think if it’s on a free then clubs closer to home will come in.

We will soon see how committed he is to MTFC , think that's also the problem with Cook Maynard

That’s unfair I think. The other two are actually our players and at the wrong end of their careers. Also based within travelling distance of our club.

The other is a young lad with a young family based at the other end of the country.

He has done well for us but he can do well for others too given he hails from the south and other southern clubs are better placed in the league than we are.

I suppose it all depends on whether NC wants him and if the pull of a good coach will attract the lad.

Oh and money of course?

When did/does his loan deal finish.
It's very quiet on the transfer saga.

Can we start a crowdfund? Really hope we can keep him for the season or better still sign him permanently.

Him and Clarke are unreal with the energy they have. With Maris offering a good foil by constantly recycling play behind them this is probably the best midfield three we have had in some time.

A good player and would love him to sign permanently. He would be a big crowd favourite . He works tirelessly and has the skill to go with it . Our midfield is blending nicely now .

Think Maris is brilliant and can definitely offer more.

I really hope he signs, he's been tremendous, his work ethic is superb and his goal threat is clear.

But..... if he doesn't sign I trust Nige implicitly to find another gut busting midfielder with an eye for a goal, his teams have always had that central midfielder who can bomb on and they're difficult to stop.

I've got a feeling in my water he might want to hang around though and see how far he can go with us.

A strong second half of the season looks likely and I wouldn't write off a late play off push.

The big thing here for mansfield is he is one of the first names on the team sheet and he knows it. For someone trying to lay the foundations for a career he'd be bonkers to try elsewhere at risk of not playing each week
