Carry on like we are and he could be back playing at Charlton next season in an Amber and blue shirt.

When is he being released from his contract, I've heard sell on clause etc.. But unsure if and when we would be able to offer a contract, his value seems to be going up every game he plays.
4-1-3-2 system really suits his style of play, not sure he would get that elsewhere.

The biggest thing for a young player is to have a manager who believes in you and who will play you on a regular basis. You are only going to get better and improve by playing games. If you start to do well then you will quickly catch the eye of teams further up the pyramid. Football is a short career so you need to make the most of it.

George Lapslie is 23 and has spent 4.5 years at Charlton and started 16 league games. He's been at the Stags less than 3 months and started the same amount of games and he's been getting his photo in the national newspapers on a regular basis thanks to Dan.

George Lapslie should be grabbing a pen off Nigel Clough and saying "Where do I sign Gaffer?"

JR should offer Charlton a decent sell on fee to make Charlton happy for George to come to Field Mill and give his agent free car insurance.

I hope we sign him but Charlton have made him available and his performances so far will have piqued a few clubs interest.

What George has to weigh up is he's playing well in OUR team. If he moves elsewhere he will need to develop new understanding of his new team. We have a championship manager and its no secret we have ambitions to get out of league 2.

Does anyone know when the cut off is for him being recalled in January? I think it's the 3rd week of the window to prevent a side from recalling a loan player on deadline day and screwing the loaning club over.

I hope he stays.
