I agree so much, in fact, in a great interview the best thing he said was to call our ground what it is called, we play at Field Mill (whilst retaining gratitude to our owner and sponsor of course!).

Still kinda can't believe Clough is our manager. You can tell he is buzzing with the win and I'm really glad to have him here

Can't wait to get to the mill, it's a shame we can't have a massive crowd to give him a welcome but I guess any fans in at the moment would be good

Didn't watch tonight as I'm on nights... What was the atmosphere like? Was it much different then a previous 'normal' game?.

The atmosphere was a lot better certainly to watch hearing every word the players and managers have to say during the games previously has made them feel a little like training games in my opinion.

The Cambridge fans seem to get on the refs back a lot, who wasn’t the best for both teams, certainly both yellows looked harsh. It will be interesting to see though how some refs deal with that from just one set of fans over the coming weeks

Call it the Mill Nige, in fact call it what you bloody well want. I'm sure JR's happy and would sooner have points on the board than folliwing some corporate blab. It's not like he's gonna sack you for calling it t'Mill is he eh!

Loved to hear a proper crowd again on t'highlights. More importantly I loved to hear the deathly silence when we scored :D

The Stags have won as many games since Nigel Clough was appointed 27 days ago as Graham Coughlan recorded in his 315 days at MTFC manager

That’s interesting, I would guess for the stats then the Dagenham game would be considered a draw, rather than a win, as scores were level after 90?

Watching the highlights back we more than deserved the win although it seemed a close game last night, we created 3 clear cut chances (Reid x 2 and Charlsley) and limited them to long range strikes.

The highlights don’t include their best chance IMO, when Gordon was disposed on the edge of his own box and Ironside shot straight at Stech.

Did the Daggers get a replay? Are they in round 3?

Cup ties last 120 minutes + pens if required. Stags won the game.

Martin replied to my question about who gets the win for the Sunderland game.( can't find it )
Manager stats do not take into account cup games, it's league fixtures only.

Let's face it I or anyone on here could've probably managed more wins than GC in the time he was errrm manager.

I know, stupid isn't it. So Ian Greaves greatest achievement in his time here doesn't count in his record.

But who am I to complain about that absurdity of that, after all Martin decides what our history is, he's told me so.

here are the statistics on manager records:

https://stagsnet.net/vintage/reports/ma ... ecords.htm

If you scroll to the bottom, there is context added to the purely objective assessment.

If someone wants to re-do the whole table taking into account cup games, be my guest.
