I thought Morecambes forward played really well today I think his name was Stockton.

The Cheltenham Crew game was very entertaining

Stockton’s first goal was a blinder.

We have a great record this season of scoring first which is just as well as we would be bottom if this was average or worse. Of the 14 league games we have only conceeded the first goal on 4 occasions or 28.5%.
Score first P7 W1 D4 L2 ppg = 0.86 should be >2
Conceed first P4 W0 D1 L3 ppg=0.25 should be >0.75
Points dropped from winning positions = 14
Points gained from losing positions = 1

It will not come on your tv until later in the day.

At present it is showing yesterday’s matches and as you say last nights MOTD.

Go to search or categories in the menu. In search ‘the FA Cup’

In categories select sport and about lunch time today’s FA cup games will appear.

True, the last two show the team lack any spunk at all. As soon as something goes wrong or they concede they invariably fold like a cheap pack of cards. The similarities to 07/08 season are scary atm, ie the odd decent performance followed by a return to utter ineptitude and failure for the next 5-6 games.

To be clear, I think this is only on Virgin TV.

The game is on BBC iPlayer, BBC website and BBC Sport app only. It is not a TV game as such.

See above post in reply to Pete. I don't know about your TV. If you let us know your TV system, there might be someone who can help.

Really hoping for at least a good performance... A cup run and a big third round tie could really help our season.

‘We are the famous Mansfield Town and we are going to Wembley, Wembley, Wembley’ is a song that is so simple lyrically but holds so many evocative memories and hopes from the 8 year old starry eyed Stags fan to the 80 years old grizzled veteran of many seasons. Though in the recent seasons, in any cup competition (especially the disgusting farce of GC treating two cups as friendlies) we haven’t had much of a chance to sing this.

Today is the day, that day, where we can sing the Wembley songs and put the gloom and despair of the last 18 months behind us and dream of May and a day out at Wembley. The likes of which we haven’t seen for 34 years. It may happen but chances are it won’t. But that doesn’t matter as for 90 minutes today, starting at half one the players have one last chance of glory and excitement for this season.

Will they take it though? Has ‘Our Nigel’ seen enough in the last weeks to be able to put out a side that is hungry enough and good enough to seize this day? Will Stech be what we want him to be, a consistent and competent keeper without faint promise but a safe pair of hands, will we be able to stop the crosses from entering the box, will McClaughlin start repaying the hype, will the midfield and forwards link up with the ‘wingers’ give the forwards the chances they crave? Will they turn up and go for it? It’s Cup football, it has magic. A sort of magic that cannot be tossed away as a mere friendly and I hope that ‘Our Nigel’ has shaken the friendly cup game mentality from the players.

Myself. I am going for an old school two nil win. The last coming from Cook with social media and the Chad plastered with photos of a jubilant Cook with an arm aloft.

Will be cheering them on and swearing at the BBC, for once not their awful news coverage, from half one. COME ON YOU STAGS.

Sunday’s aren’t for FA Cup football, they are for being sat in the pub after playing or watching a Sunday League game discussing yesterday afternoons win.

The FA and the EFL, hopefully now that the dinosaurs of Dyche and Kelly have gone (hopefully that lickspittle Liverpool toady, Rick Parry, will do the same and resign), have a chance to give us back the parts of football that make it special. I just hope they don’t waste it.
