Sorry if it’s been mentioned elsewhere already, but Clough was at the Chesterfield v County game at the weekend.

Presumably looking at a player. Roberts, Boldewijn or Wootton I would guess.

Spirites seem to think it was Cropper? Right sided player, used to be a striker they say.

Maybe he went to see if he could get a first hand look at Jimmy Knowles?

Yes he was there. I've seen his scouting report.

County...raspberry.
Spireites...even more raspberry.

Other than Roberts I doubt there would be anyone worth any minutes of his free time on a Saturday afternoon and I think he has just signed a new deal.
Edit..yes possibly Knowles but I don't think he got on the pitch.

I very much doubt he went to look at Jimmy, as he's only been getting the odd minutes here and there. He didn't get on on Saturday. Now that he was spotted though, he might say that was the reason!

If Jimmy doesn't get more game time by Christmas, I would recall him in January and get him out somewhere else.

He just likes to watch football and that was the closest game for him on Saturday.
