Garner was with Clough at Derby shef Utd and burton.
Clough seems very loyal to those around him.

Worth pointing out that they were this season as part of Buxton’s team, so did not leave when Clough, Clough and Crosby left.

An Andy Garner who played at Derby in the 80s who would be 54 or 55 now went to Mortimer Wilson school at Alfreton.

As a teenager I walked, with three mates, from Mansfield to Chesterfield and camped just outside Clay Cross the night before the game. We camped in Stonebroom (yes I know we hadn't walked very far!). The next morning, because we hadn't walked very far, we had to get our skates on to get to the game. I think it was 85 or 86 and definitely a late summer game early in the season, anyway Stags played in horrific red, I think it was 1-1 and every song involved something to do with the strike - a particular favourite from our end was " we're getting paid, we're getting paid, you're not". We got the bus back, sneaked onto one of Taylors coaches - I know he didn't mind.

This is good news. I hope that they bring us steady success.

Welcome to the club.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

We've had Martin doing that for years, could of saved some money :D

I am impressed though, very professional and look forward to the January transfer window.

Surprised Garner has come head coach i presume, always been in the dug out with clough, not good at communications with the fans, poor speaker and thought he would be helping Jake Buxton in his first managerial role at Burton, So Clough has brought his full backroom team. except goalkeeping coach, Martin Taylor, modern day football with a performance analyst i do know this can give critical information ,welcome Matt Ash, good news looks like Clough settling in at Mansfield,
Goal Championship football in 4 years 2025.
