Horrible weather, horrible conditions and a very horrible (although very disciplined) 2nd half but a brilliant fantastic much needed win. The Stags won the game in the first half and we just needed to hang on to 3 points in the 2nd half which we managed to do for a change. Well done to Young Nigel and all the players. COYS!!

Only thing to say for now, time for a beer after the stress of that last 15 minutes

A special mention to the cloth used to wipe the camera today, did the hard yards where others wouldn’t.

Amazing what a good decision by the owners has done. A few bad decisions set us back, but good owners learn from their mistakes. In Clough, they’ve hopefully laid a foundation stone to a good future. Well done to the owners, staff and players. Great win. COYS.

Southend got their first win today, scoring the only goal of the match against Walsall in the 88th minute. Did their match finish before our’s?

I'd like to know what they are doing so far forward.
I always thought they should never be more than 3 feet away from the back 3.
It's brilliant isn't it.
Totally agree . Push forward score goals try and concede less than you score . When you have the quality midfielders we have then you should never play with a back 8 .

Fantastic gritty performance by the lads - the belief & commitment has really come on with Coops & Cloughies influence on them. Still a few concerns, but plenty to work on over the coming weeks. Having the right mindset is half the battle
Only 12 points off the autos...

Have to applaud James Perch today that was a masterclass of calm defending ...absolute class !!
Bit grim 2nd half and we could do with some pace up front, but it’s great to pick up 3 points

Well done also to Dale Vince and the Forest Green groundsman for spending money on and installing a very good drainage system for the pitch. I was worried the game was going to be abandoned again

3 away on the spin is pretty decent. Looked very handy first half.

Players signed by Coughlan, team selection by Cooper, magic provided by Clough!

In a way it's good that Cloughie sees the good and bad so knows where to strengthen in January. FGR are decent so the lack of 2nd half possession was to be expected, but if we want top 3 we must keep the ball better. Cracking win.

Let's not forget Coops part in this, gave the boys some proper management.
Well said, this run started with Coops and Cloughie is fine tuning, great result, Paulstag is on great run of form as well.

Great result and overall a well deserved win, FGR huffed, puffed and pressed us back but didn't really threaten our goal that much.
Well done all involved
Now for 2 home games, let's do the business at Field Mill

Perch's calmness from the back is brilliant. Steady and understated. Calms the rest around him down. Thought he was an unsung hero today.
Stech made a couple of excellent saves, one point blank range.
Bowery had a great 1st half but wasn't in it much 2nd but we hardly got put of our half so to be expected.
Hope Maris is ok, he was looking good, but Ollie clarke got some game time so hopefully a ready-made replacement if Maris is out for any length of time.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.
