Fans have been blamed in the past, clearly that was all nonsense. Now Dan wants to keep blaming us even though form is worse without us there.

Could happen, I doubt it but it could. I mean Norman started a thread on Bowery similar to the thread he started on Tyler Walker.

Norman, if you're reading this, if Bowery scores today can you make threads on a few more players? We need your magic!

What are the odds on a Bowery hat trick?

Gordon left back, Charsley right wing?

If so our biggest attacking threat from midweek is now at the back.

Stags' boss Graham Coughlan has made one change for this afternoon's match away at Cheltenham Town.

Midfielder George Lapslie returns from suspension to start the game ahead of wing-back Corey O'Keeffe.

Corey is self-isolating following contact with Mal Benning, prior to Mal testing positive for COVID-19.

STAGS' XI: Stech (GK), Menayese, Rawson, Sweeney (C), Gordon, Perch, Lapslie, Maris, Charsley, McLaughlin, Cook.

SUBS: Stone (GK), Bowery, O'Driscoll, Reid, J. Clarke, Maynard, Sinclair.

Shouldn’t the whole squad be self isolating on that basis?

This could be a good team selection. Get Andy Cook pinning down Ben Tozer and George Lapslie and Harry Charsley pressing Will Boyle and Charlie Raglan at the back when they try and bring the ball out of defence.

Just what is GC problem with not playing Cook and Maynard together, we know what’s coming, Cook on for an hour until he is shattered, then the Cone on for half an hour.

HT: Exeter City 2 Scunthorpe United 0

Two Scunthorpe United players tested positive for COVID-19. Due to coming into close contact with these players, three other members of their squad have also had to self-isolate. Under-23s manager Russ Wilcox is also awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test so goalkeeping coach Paul Musselwhite is in charge of the Irons today (it should have been the physio!!). Manager Neil Cox is having to watch the match remotely due to having to self-isolate after coming into close contact with assistant manager Mark Lillis, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier in the week.

Scunthorpe made six changes to the team that lost to Cheltenham on Tuesday night. They have already used over 20 players this season. Mark Howard and Devarn Green made their debuts. Mark Howard replaced Rory Watson in goal. Scunthorpe made a bright start and Aaron Jarvis headed a Miles Hippolyte cross from left narrowly wide of goal. Mark Howard then saved a Randell Williams header which seemed to catch the wind. Exeter took the lead in the 36th minute with a great passing move involving Josh Kay, Harry Kite (making his debut), Archie Collins and Randell Williams. The latter then played the ball to Matt Jay down the right who crossed for Joel Randall to score at the back post. They then made it 2-0 on 39 minutes when Mark Howard made a Marek Stech style error by dropping Jack Sparkes' cross from the left to the feet of Matt Jay who tapped it into an empty net.

The conditions are very wet and windy in Exeter.

Pleased it's only an unforced change not pleased with 1 up front again

No left back and no right back.

Either 3-6-1 with Gordon and McLaughlin on the wings. Or players all over the shop.

I think 4-4-1-1.

Stech
Menayese Rawson Sweeney McLaughlin
Charsley Maris Perch Gordon
Lapslie
Cook

He still refuses to drop any of the 3 CBs which creates problems when playing a back 4.

Weird cos Perch is a natural right back isn't he?

That interview was all about him getting his excuses in early.....

Can't wait for us to be eventually as good as Cheltenham... wow

He'll be sacked before 5pm today.
