At least jr knows the vocal support / those on social media resoundingly want GC gone.
You've got to go there and come back, to know where you've been.

Shouldn’t he be asking his CEO rather than those on Facebook?

You’re a disgusting individual - how would you feel if there was a public poll on whether you should be sacked for what I would guess would be a less than great performance . Not good eh?
Or tell me you are fantastic at what you do ? Guess not

I bet it dont....

Thing is, the fans have already got the manager they want in their heads now (if GC gets sacked). Seems like if it's not Paul Cook, Cowleys or Nigel Clough they'll be disappointed.

Would those sorts of managers want to come here? They'd need some serious convincing

I seriously doubt they would, but football fans & realism don't always go hand in hand ;)

Managers like those demand a premium, and given current cv19 impact on finances I think clubs will be reluctant to pay handsomely, maybe Jr included.

Maybe money talks more than I think, but a club with high managerial turnover don't exactly look that appealing to me. If GC moves on and suddenly starts doing well I'll be proper annoyed though

Yeah I imagine I wouldn't feel good about it. But I'm not Graham Coughlans boss. Sorry I don't know why this offended you so much.

Thing is MOTC a money minded manager might see it as an opportunity to earn 2 yrs wages in 6 months if he gets sacked and his contract paid up.. ;)

In my opinion this means JR has had too much champers, or

He’s already got a successor in the wings, no matter what question he’s supposedly asking the fans, or

Both.

JR should have learnt his lesson by now. You agree the compensation that will be paid by the club if the manager's contract is terminated early at the outset e.g. 6 months salary. You can also agree to pay this amount in instalments.

In fairness I've been one of the harshest critics of GC on here over the last few weeks.... However I think you could see small green shoots of positivity today!.
The players looked up for the fight which tells me they haven't given up on him just yet..was a very professional & composed away performance.

Hopefully Tuesday he will go 2 up top thou as its pretty much a must win game in terms of his employment at MTFC and cook on his own I don't think will equal goals.

That's exactly the sort who are tempted to those jobs - that & rookies, chancers & the deranged. And we've had em all at some point! :P

The sort we need are talented, hard working, honest & respected. I fear we've had project promotion on our minds too long to give any decent manager 2+ seasons, though. Hence why L2 is our level, imo

Has to be said there was an overall improvement, but so there should be after 11 competitive games.
It shouldn't have to wait until game 11 before you see that improvement, up until now every performance has been very similar, very poor.

Did we actually bother their keeper and force him to make a save, I cannot recall anything.

Hope Clarke gets fit soon, Maris is a liability, gives the ball away too often.

My surprise package is Perch, he looks to be comfortable with the ball and passes short if he has to.

89.7% passing accuracy from Maris yesterday, the highest of any starter. And he was playing in a position where you would expect that to be lower, given you want him to take more risks with the ball.

If JR has listened to the fans on fb, surely it would be announced today? Ready for the caretaker manager to take training tomorrow.

People would rather have a midfielder who has a 100% side to side pass rate. I would rather have a risk taker who tries to play it through the lines and be around the 85-90% mark. We seriously need to start taking these risks in order to get wins, but if you’re happy with sideways football, let’s say hello National League!!!

I thought we took Ian Holloway's advice and pressed really well first half and gave Charlie Raglan and Will Boyle no time on the ball at the back. I thought George Lapslie and Harry Charsley would be pushing further forward with George Maris sat deeper. Apart from his shooting, I thought George Maris played well yesterday and was our best midfield player. He made three or four good passes and had one really good run. I thought he had more of an impact on the game than George Lapslie who I was a little disappointed with. I was expecting a bit more from him. Harry Charsley worked hard and made a great block on the line. He should have passed to Kellan Gordon though in the first half as Gordon would have been clean through on goal. It was a big error to try a shot from that position equivalent to a striker missing a good chance and a defender making a mistake which results in a goal.

I also thought Stephen McLaughlin played well at left wing back. He should have had a free kick in the 2nd half when he made that great run forward. Rollin Menayese and Ryan Sweeney also played well at the back although Reuben Reid caused problems holding the ball up which is his main strength. Menayese and Sweeney won most of the headers. Menayese had a very good first half winning his headers and making some good tackles and interceptions. He made one error in the second half when he should have put the ball into touch but he was probably wary of giving Ben Tozer another long throw. He tried to clear the ball away up the pitch instead and gave away possession that resulted in the Cheltenham corners where eventually Harry Charsley had to block Alfie May's shot at the far post. He also got bullied by Reid into giving away a free kick in a dangerous position but overall he did well.

Note to Martin: Ben Tozer had 7 long throws but did take one short.
