Three subs at half time.

New loan signing straight in.

Both are to me signs of him having no faith in his players or his own decisions.

This will be recognised by JR and I think he’ll press the button.

Blows my mind you can watch a player have such a bad half, be so useless and then take Maynard off instead of him

Hopefully, we need to limit the damage now.

Radford gave Dempster way too long and the season was ruined with no hope of rescue.

How I see it too.

Hope JR can muster the courage but he doesn't ever sack a manager at the right time (bar Murray). All the other sackings have been badly timed.

Will be tonight or Tuesday night IMO.

I do think you’re right Belly with your point on another thread re the triumphalism surround being right about a manager failing. It’s no coincidence that this forums at its busiest following a defeat or when the managers under pressure.

Reluctantly yes. I think three half time subs is indicative that he doesn’t have an idea what he’s doing and it’s an admission of getting it wrong.

I might be wrong but don’t think Radford has sacked a manager the same day after a game so I don’t think he will go anytime soon.

Having said that David Sharpe might have some influence over that now

We looked so poor today it was untrue felt really sorry for the new lad who must have covered more ground than all the other midfield and forwards put together, and that was with him sitting the last 15 minutes in the changing room

No one is feeling triumphal about Coughlan failing. That feeling comes from accused of being in a 'howling mob' amongst other insults, purely for seeing earlier than others that GC isn't the right man.

Some of us were similarly lambasted for calling for Dempsters head early on too.

Triumphal? - No

I agree Belly. As soon as I saw the three changes at half time I read it as admission of failure and probably throwing in the towel at that point

That's probably because when we are playing well and getting results most of us stop for an extra pint to enjoy the winning buzz, and have a laugh with our mates, in fact with anyone of the Amber and Blue persuasion. As opposed to the likes of now when, even if we had been allowed at The Mill, we would have just come straight home and vented on here.

There's no triumphalism in it, in fact I think it's the opposite, it's depression.

It is the nature of the beast I'm afraid.

Worst win ratio of any Stags manager. I have 4 wins from 21. = 19%.

It’s when you’ve a half tome decision to make.

Nicky Maynard, high class player, scored loads last season and well recognised in league 2.

Then you’ve got bowery, the footballing version of a cone, would look perfect at Alfreton.

Who do you take off!? Oh.

That decision alone was a massive concerns

If the Radfords don't SACK him tonight, then they've completely lost interest in the club. The manager is completely out of his depth and the players were just not bothered, either that, or everyone one if them is useless.

No one loves it. But some see signs earlier.
Some were saying early doors they were sure loving watching GC's team playing. I never had that vibe,I thought it directionless. I said to Yorkie ' mid table at the very best'

I was never convinced at the time that GC was the right choice. He never struck me with confidence. And his lack of eye contact in interviews always concerned me as a manager & motivator - (Sorry, I'm a Psychologist!) - but that isn't the issue.

I do not believe that he has assembled a good enough team - and I don't believe that he (or his coach) can instill sufficient confidence into the current squad.

He is a decent chap, and I like him ... but his record: (win ratio, performances, the defence, tactics, decision making) are appalling. Ultimately, the results are unacceptable.

I'm sorry, but GC needs to go now (as does his assistant).

JR needs to take his time in selecting the right person this time. The right manager might not be available right now. So we might need to appoint an interim caretaker (and that doesn't necessarily have to be an 'internal' appointment - if David Sharpe has any ideal contacts for an interim caretaker for example).

Either way, it is time for a change. Big decision. It is now over to David Sharpe & JR to do the right thing.
