Anything less than 4 points from the next 2 games and my mind will be made up on what needs to happen.

Absolutely. And if Maynard can't partner Cook because one or both refuse to work together, why re-sign Maynard? You'd be buying a problem.

Just play the best two forwards, Maynard and Cook. Tell them to get on with it if indeed they don’t get on.
Wilfred Bramble and Harry Corbett didn’t like each other, but still produced one of the best sitcoms ever!!! You don’t need to be besties, you just need to raspberry score goals, and quick!!!

The problem is it’s difficult to score goals when you don’t get any service
or assistance from the midfield

Midfield!!! What’s that? A new concept in football, because I’ve not seen one at the Mill since Ben Whiteman was here.

Clarke and Perch with Charsley/ Lapslie in front should be a bloody good midfield for this league. Even Maris is capable at this level and has been improving.

Best GC can do now is win 20% of his first 10 games. Is that really good enough?

Gaz percentages really can get a bit tedious

Indeed. They can be tedious when it's a few %. This isn't a few %. We currently have 5 points out of 24 available. 0.208 points a game. Which over a season is 29 points (28.74999 but I rounded up.) which isn't good enough.

It is highly improbable that teams go a season without losing but not out of the realms of possibility. If we wins his next 2 then he has form to reach 50.6 points at the end of the season. A win and a draw puts him on form for 41.4 points.

He really has to win his next 2.

But if we get 4 points from the next 2, that will be 6 points from the last 4 games. Continuing that form for the rest of the season (36 games) would see us add another 54 points (9 × 6), to the 11 points gained from the first 10 games, finishing the season on 65 points.
It's not always as simple as ppg over a whole season as current form is also a factor.

Exactly. He's not got a single tune out of any of them yet. Shows his level really.

Should be a good midfield Sedgwick. At the minute they’re nearly the worst midfield in league 2.

By the same token if he wins his next 2 games and carried that on we'd be promoted.

Also it'd be 8 points from our last 4 games. Generally form is the last 5 games so let's hypothetically assume we win our next 2. It'd be 8 points out of 15 for a ppg of 0.5333. Multiply by the 108 points up for grabs still. 57.5999 points on top of the 11 already gained is 68 points.

All looking good. However. There's a saying "form is temporary, class is permanent" I've not seen much that displays the kind of class needed to keep that form up.

This is also assuming we actually win our next 2. In 7-8 weeks it will be 12 months in charge for GC. Results have been poor to say the least. He's won 4 league games since he took over in December 2019. The early end saw us with 10 games left to play. His "form" last season was 1 win in 5 in the first 10 games and in the last 5 it was 2 wins.

The whole thing has been a disaster so far and has gotten worse this season.
