this style of journalism of picking up quotes from random people on social media and turning it into a story is so lazy and tedious. It's becoming more and more common.

Comments from Rovers fans

"GC inherited a losing team at Rovers and turned it into a winning team. Yes, the wins were ugly, but he saved us from almost certain relegation and took us to the top of the division. GC deserves the gratitude of all Rovers fans and not the abuse that a vocal minority seem intent on giving him. I, for one, hope he achieves success at Mansfield."

"I agree with the first bit of your comment, Howie. We were definitely going down two years ago and GC deserves huge credit for keeping us up. However, I think many of us hoped that the tactics used was merely a means to an end and the football would improve at the start of the following season. Sadly it didn’t and I wouldn’t have renewed my season ticket if it had continued."

"Coughlan got away with it at Rovers as results were generally ok but the football was awful. He’s on borrowed time if they don’t start winning soon. At least he’s closer to home though!"

"The Stags fans will soon shut up if they start winning...."

"Maybe, Ern. But do remember how dreadful Rovers were to watch under GC?"

"We did warn them....."

Newspapers don’t refer to journalists anymore- they refer to them as “Content Gatherers”

I suspect Edders is catching up on posts as he has not been around for months.
